At this point in time, Messi is in the form of his life. He is the best player around, yes better than Ronaldo. Next season might see it turn around. Messi may go to the world cup and be a sensation, yet somehow I doubt it (not sure why).

I did see Maradonna once live playing for Napoli, forget carrying the Argentina side- which was not a bad side without him- what he did for Napoli was amazing. Yes amazing.

Zizou is still my favourite player of all time though, and a cut above Messi.

Come back and ask me in three seasons if I have changed my mind.

They've both won World Player of the year once. Ronaldo has done it in more than one league, Messi has not.

All he really needs, is to prove himself and win on the grandest stage of them all, the World Cup. If he's successful in the summer, he would accomplish everything at the tender age of 22.

He's a legend in the making. At this rate I really don't see how he won't be soon considered the greatest player ever.
Need to win the world cup the same way Maradona won he's country the world cup (same way).

Messi is the best right now nodoubt In my mind but no one would know what will happen to him in a year or two.

Ronaldo (brazilian) had a phenomenal talent everyone that saw the guy when he was just 20 with Barca would've thought he'd be an all time legand yet the injury didn't make the guy progress the way others expected him to.

You never know how things will go with Messi.

Why does nobody mention Rivaldo? he was before last night Barcelonas all time leading European goalscorer.
Rivaldo.

Happy now?

I prefered him to Ronaldo at all times, but he ruined his memory with that ludicrous injury acting at the World Cup.

By the way, did he ever find his horse?
