Ronaldo is second only to Messi. Not Higuain or Rooney even if they are scoring more.

Btw, a contrast I like between Messi and Ronaldo is Messi immediately giving the pk tonight to Ibra without the latter asking for it, to boost his confidence, while Ronaldo was huffing and puffing, having an argument with Xabi Alonso, because the latter was asking to the take the pk to get his first Real goal (mind you, the score was at 5-2 by then I think).

:agree:
Messi often reminds me of Del Piero actually. The way he handles the ball and the vision for the game. And now he's even such a good guy:D

95-98 Alex was top 3. That 97-98 season he was the BEST in the world. Still I wouldn't compare him to Messi talent wise, Messi is just out of this world. I have seen Maradona play, and to me Messi is better than him too.

at least Messi is ten times the man Maradonna ever was
and you guys are comparing DP with Messi?
sorry guys but Messi is way better, no question about it
regardless of how much I respect Delpie but that is just nonsense
you dissagree? well tell me, how many awards did Alex win for best player?
right, and how old is Messi? 21?
I'm a fan of Del Piero but you guys need to stay real, he's our legend but he never was Europe's legend; let alone best player in the world

I think Messi is in a class of his own. Definitely among the likes of Zizou and Maradona. He's always a joy to watch and it's nice to see a player who is so good remain so humble and classy. We rarely see that these days.

Both Rooney and Higuain are front of the jersey guys, while Ronaldo is simply a back of the jersey guy. Ronaldo is likely to throw a fit if he doesn't get his way or runs into a bad stretch of form and gets told so by the manager. I'd much rather have player that put the team first rather than themselves.

And I can say that same goes to C. Ronaldo, he is still relatively young and can still grow but I doubt he'll reach what Zidane was.
