they dislike turks regardless, latest events proved it undeniably. good thing is that nobody is seeking their approval here. each to their own.
If Juve really disliked Turks they wouldnt buy Demiral and Emre Can in the first place lol

You're being ridiculous, my Turkic brother. Peace.

I love the Turkish restaurant in town. Efes is a decent beer too.
I love everything about Turkey; gorgeous country, great people.

I for one, dislike turks regardless
also, don't forget this was Rugani's first start of the season, he had to play eventually, I really dont think we are punishing Demiral

Some, definitely not most.

People dislike those who refuse to admit any wrongdoing whatsoever.

So Turks who deny Armenian genocide, label all Kurds terrorists and ignore their own government sanctioned atrocities, etc etc... those are the types people dislike.

Just like people dislike Israelis that think they are doing god’s work on the West Bank with the settlements.

Or Americans who think Vietnam, or more recently Iraq, were justified invasions.

Or Canadians who think residential schools for First Nations were not a terrible atrocity.

etc.

Of course, the absurd nationalists running rampant in the world today, see nothing wrong with any of their own nations actions regardless of how evil, and see any criticism as a direct attack on their nation.

this. its the blind nationalism where everything you do is right and anything done to you is an antrocity then throw in the lack of ability to form an argument in defense of said position beyond "it was global zionism"

your victimhood complex here is dumb. when he signed a contract with the club he likely signed behavior clauses, no? if the club doesnt want him making controversial political statements then they have every right to drop him for doing so.

its not like this was sprung on him by surprise.

funniest thing is you cant even pretend you would be consistent here. what if merih were jewish and saluted an IDF mission into Palestine during a goal celebration?

you would be even more butthurt then you are now.

and you see this is why the club doesnt want itself to be a forum for sensitive political issues. its a sports team it doesnt benefit from controversy.
If a Jewish player saluted the IDF there would be no mass hysteria as with the Demiral case. The masses would say that the IDF has no choice but to defend themselves against the terrorists that attack them, but that alibi doesn't work for the Turks for some reason.

And if anyone protested then it would simply be stamped out as antisemitism.

No one had anything against Turkey before they started becoming an authoritarian state under Erdogan; now, like with any other such state, they are an untrustworthy partner, thus everything they do is suspicious.

No, it is just that under Erdogan, Turkey started to follow independent policies for their own benefit instead of benefit of global actors like in past 100 years. they wouldn't give a flying about being authoritarian if he was an obedient puppy like those in charge of arab nations.

Funny how all those dictators keep saying this same thing over and over lol Putin says exactly this.
Erdogan is only obedient to his own interests and staying in power no matter what.
He doesn't give a shit about the people; the ever increasing taxes and tariffs, and the increasing corruption and nepotism is proof.

Forza Demiral - whatever he is going through or the club is doing, I hope they play him soon and let him get some minutes.

He absolutely can't be worse than what Rugani has become.
