It has nothing to do with whether homosexuality is something people are born with or whether it's a choice.

If you don't understand the article then don't post it.
I do understand the article. If Mercury exposure has been linked with homosexuality amongst Ibis then this perhaps is amongst the first research explaining homosexual behavior among animals. That's all there is to it.

Perhaps you should stop acting like you're an expert on everything.

I'm sorry if I offended you. I try not to flex intellect as much as possible. Please forgive me, from the bottom of my heart. :D

That's what I've been saying. Except for the article being about homosexuality, it's about mercury.

It doesn't make any claims to the nature v. nurture homo argument. As you suggest in the first page. ;)

Aaron is right, this article doesn't say anything about homosexuality not being genetic. In fact its pretty much been proven that there are genetic factors involved the only question is if there are other factors as well.

Yes, It's the effect mercury has on this animal. What I was insinuating is that who's to say we won't find some similar link to homosexuality in other species, thus debunking the theory that homosexuality is something one is born with.

It must be the effect religion has on some animals. Some claim they are born that way but I think it's just a learned behavior and a choice.
