what? this confirms what I was saying

mahdy (with a fatha) (#1 on the list) means the guided one or the gift receiver (its maf3ool)

Mohdy (with a damma) (#2 on the list) means the one who guides or the gift giver. (its fa3el) This is like Hadi which is also fa3el.

His name is mehdi/mahdi not Mohdy. You were saying mahdi is the gift provider but thats mohdy.

The Imam el Mahdi is the guided imam or the gifted imam not the guide providing or gift providing one.

Read my first post, I said Mahdi (with the letter "a") means preacher or mentor or like you said the guided one, and I didn't bring up Imam el Mahdi. However, if you pronounce mehdi (with kasra which many Arabs use it) the meaning will be the same as mohdy (a very classical one).

I think when people say mehdi (with kasra) , it is to replace Mahdi with fat7a not mohdy. Thats why I have been using mehdi/mahdi interchangeably because they are used interchangeable.

Mehdi is not proper arabic anyway.

Im very skeptical about this guy. On one hand there's the Udinese/Roma Benatia while on the other there's the Bavarian one. Yet for some reason I cant help but feel its a Barzagli kind of deal Dejavu.

Or maybe Its just wishful thinking.
Ahmad!! How are you?

There is in many accents, no one uses mohdy with damma unless he speaks classic Arabic.
I have never heard mohdi and doubt it exists since the correct agent form is Hadi, anyways the only correct transliteration is Mahdi, the rest are all wrong in Arabic.
