Has any team in the past 20 years ever had such an amazing CB quality+depth as we're gonna have next season?
Best I seen is Maldini, Nesta, Costacurta and Stam in terms of world class CBs collection. We just have one extra player to that kind of depth (and it doesnt cover the quality difference, there's defenitely superior).

I know right? I told this to my brother who is an Arsenal fan, he loled hard.

Milan did several times actually

Its actually even more impressive. "20 years ago ? " lets see

in 1996/1997 they had

Maldini, Baresi, Tassotti, costacuerta, panucci, and vierchowod(who every juve fan has to love).

Which got a boost with Nesta in 2001 iirc

And with Stam shortly after.

Between "20 years ago" and today, milan had a better defence untill Maldini and Nesta started to drop back

yeah its crazy. Varmaelen was never a top defender. His only virtue was his passing and headers never his defending. Ben Atia was part of a very strong defense for Roma who went on long clean sheet runs despite playing attacking football. Their defense fell apart since he left even though roma tried many times to replace him.

Conte ones were back 3, Allegri ones were back 4.
Not true. We played 3-5-2 against City (1-0 win in turin) and also against Dortmund pogba got injured and we switched to 3-5-2 (the 3-0 win). That and the conte wins.

I thought the City game meant was the away win. You're right about the Dortmund one, although we were 1-0 up at the time.

#SKY: #Milan are trying to hijack #Juve's deal for #Benatia. Juve are very close to him but no official signatures yet. Anything can happen

Not sure i want this guy, if it means Rugani will be loaned out or will rot in the bench.

I think it's useful to have 5 cbs, but only if Allegri is really willing to rotate Benatia with Chiellini and Barzagli and use Rugani consistently as well. Unlikely it seems.

Rugani played 1500 minutes last year. He will play even more this year. He's not even 22 yet. Definitely does not "need" to play some fixed amount of time at that age. If he's playing over 1000 minutes, plus training all year with the Juventus first team, he's getting far better experience than he would starting at some second rate club.

How old was bonucci when he was a starter here? Also don't make me laugh about the experience in training narrative. If a player doesn't play regular competitive football he will kill his career.
