Camoranesi is such a warrior. We got to see him end his career in Argentina. Sadly, he never got a chance to play for the team he supports- River Plate- because his agent, Sivori's son, was in a fight with our president of the time, Daniel Passarella- a scum who played for inter and fiorentina in the 80s and was part of the mafia that sent River to the B- and so he had to play for a small team called Lanus- think Torino more or less, and another team called Racing which has won 1 league title in 50 years.

But a legend Mauro. Miss seeing him in the black and white shirt. Forza Juve

River went to the second division because of corrupt directors who basically sold the soul of the club in order to gain positions in AFA and FIFA. River is like Juventus in Argentina... All of the other clubs are jealous and this causes hate and envy and desire to see us knocked off. In the mid 2000's, River started selling off top players for peanuts and the directors kept a lot of the money. Some of the names like Higuain, Falcao, and others were sold for about 3-4 million dollars. Eventually, the club was broke because of this corruption and constant signings of sub par players and River went down.

The people who were involved in bankrupting and destroying the biggest club in argentina are now executives at FIFA... positions they were promised for bringing about river's demise...

Right now however, Daniel Passarella is being sued by the current President and his administration for corruption and taking part of the cash from Lucas Ocampos' sale to Monaco for 11 million euros. Sorry this is all complicated, but thats football in argentina, and italy for that matter.

That is where River and Juve are similar... Both sent to second division for non-footballing reasons. Oh and of course Omar Siviori's sale to Juventus allowed River to finish our stadium in the 50s. That stand still has his name, la tribuna Sivori :)

Forza Juve y Vamos River
