Camoranesi returns to Argentina

Juventus' former winger Mauro Camoranesi has returned to Argentina where he will play with Lanus.

The 34-year-old had seen his contract rescinded by Stuttgart after just six months in Germany.

Lanus Coach Gabriel Schurrer will unveil Camoranesi to the Argentine media later today.

Camoranesi was born in Argentina, but later went on to represent Italy after tracing his roots back to the country.

He was a member of the Italy squad that won the World Cup in 2006.

Too bad he didn't go back to Mexico aside from Argentina.... Can't believe he played for Santos Laguna... I think if he was in Mexico he would play on a whole different level, it would be so easy for him to break off defenders. I'm Mexican and I can't stand Mexican league they play sometimes worse than MLS, IRS sad as much as Mexico LOVES futbol there never try to up thier quality of play season to season; but that another issue by itself... Good luck Camoranesi you'll be missed.

I hope Prandelli will not overlook him just because he doesn't play in Serie A.
