They have better fullbacks and a better midfield. We have better CB's and Ronaldo. Higuain and Bernardeschi are inferior to Depay. So offensively we have the slight edge. Overall Lyon are not much weaker than us.

My personal opinion has always been that games are won in the middle of the park. When we had the strongest midfield in Europe, we went toe to toe with the most electrifying attack (MSN) we've seen in Europe over the last 15 years.
Good grief, look at what you are writing. Seriously.

Look at the Ligue 1 table. Look how many competitive games they have played. Rangers beat them 2-0 a few weeks ago.

There is no doubt we are weaker in midfield than the final vs Barcelona. But come on, only just a bit stronger than the Lyon squad? My word.

not sure about pep as he's an other one trick pony, but 100% sure about zidane. man can actually adapt and make decisions based on the players at his disposal. benching james rodriguez (something that very few coaches would have done) and replacing him with casemiro made real a much better team.

sarri showed zero positive flexibility this season, and that includes his pathetic attempt of trying everyone but buffon at trequartista.
But strangely he went back to coach Real Madrid again

It's on the coach to bring the best out of his players. Sarri is far from the only reason for this failure, but we should have beat this Lyon team even without a coach.
Not but everyone who knows Sarri, from our management to twitter fans knew that Sarri only plays one type of football. Why getting him on first place, if his players are suited to play 3-5-2. Can you blame him? It’s like dating Gigi Hadid and expect her not to do photoshootings

Really bro?
They were seventh in a pub league.
We should have won this tie 5-0 with a competent coach.

Bonucci: “It was a special season after everything that happened (Coronavirus). We managed to win the scudetto & that was the main goal. This season will teach us a lot of lessons.
Del Piero: "The main objective, in view of the investments made, was the Champions League." [Sky]

With previous teams Sarri overachieved. His Napoli with just a quarter of our budget deliver almost similar performances like we did.
Even that time we were hugely underperforming.
The last time we overperformed was with master motivator Conte.
Juve is a company now, it has no heart, players are here to earn money and win the domestic title. The managerial choices we make fully endorse this path
overachieved with Napoli? He had world class players all over the place. Higuain in his prime was the best goalscorer in Italy.

Juventus is a complex system that requires managers capable of managing it. Allergi and Marotta, regardless mistakes they made, were of the required kind. Sarri and Paratici aren't. The problem is that the lack of competent managers is a general problem of the modern world of football (well, not only football, but let's keep it within the context).

The situation is really bad for Juventus right now: the entire management squad has to go, but there's nobody to realistically replace them with unless the club is ready to spend big, which is unlikely. The entire situation smells really bad, and the worst thing is that they destroyed everything they had built with their own hands.

He is absolutely to blame. At Juve, his goal should be to win. That is the only thing that matters.
The management fucked up by hiring him and then not giving him the right tools, but that''s a different story.

You know what, sometimes, I feel giving the captaincy to Bonucci was way worse than hiring Sarri.

Luck was not on his side, but luck cant take you any further.
1. penalty
2. berna’s miss on empty goal.
3. higuain’s header
4. Ronaldo’s header (but he made it up with that wonder goal).

i would respect Sarri if he resigns, rather than getting fired (which i suppose wont happen due to financialy difficulties). Or he if the club does want to stick with him at least they should get him the players he can implement his football. Otherwise it would be another failure next year. He doesnt have the flexibility of Allegri, even his style deserves a lot to be desired but at least it would be wise to give another try by giving him the players he wants.

Embarrasing post, is this the best excuse you could come up with for your Ogre overlord.
