Every fucking coach has their own favourite fucking player who regardless of how bad he plays, he is constantly given a chance. Sarri's is Bernardeschi. In any of the other top teams, Bernardeschi would have been benched two months ago, and not only benched, but Mandzukiced. My head hurts from facepalming everytime Berna does some stupid pass or move or make a stupid decision.

yeah, often we don't. we created some after dybala entered the pitch, but look at the match against atleti: they had more shots, more shots on target, we were simply saved by wojtek and some sheer magic from dybala. or the match against atalanta: they had 22 shots, 8 on target, while we finished the match with 16/5, and if higuain wasn't so clinical, we could have easily drawn or lost that one too. also, about our luck: koulibaly own goal in the stoppages, winning penalty in the 96th minute against genoa? wins by one goal margins 12 times this season?

fact is that we're playing very, very close matches and running plenty of risks. we are lucky to have 36 points in 14 rounds. i'm not blaming it on sarri only, basically the whole team besides szczesny should absolutely do better than this.

i agree that not starting dybala when the next match is 6 days away was absolutely criminal though. at least sarri admitted that he gave a 50-min advantage to sassuolo.

Concur about the Atletico matches but there is also Napoli. That's only 3 games where we were out-shot so to speak. If you look at the breakdown in numbers we still outshoot the other teams by a decent margin but when you look at "shots on target" they are much closer together which tells me our boys in attack ain't clinical enough which goes with what I'm saying about needing to be clinical and/or put games to bed earlier on in the match.

So basically you want the forward three to consist of Higgy, Dybala, Ronaldo and Berna, since Costa is always injured.

Honestly, since Ronaldo signing and we have problems more than solutions or you can say, our weaknesses are exposed and the main problem which everyone expected to be solved last summer , the midfield is not solved and here we are , talk about same problem ...

One more thing , last season showed that we are near big disaster in defence and it was Fabio priority more than the mid

We have to accept what we see, that is the most we can do technically and financially

Next season we should focus on more on the mid and bye bye CR7 that helped us commercially

yesterday we managed to concede after two blackouts. having the best defense overall is nice, and blackouts can also happen, but i'm getting a bit concerned about our defense too, especially by the absolute lack of rotation for the centre backs. i mean what do we expect? can bonucci and de ligt play without mistakes for a whole season? no chance, and it's normal. can you expect either demiral or rugani ( ) to step in when needed after not getting minutes for half a season? no chance, and it's normal.

if sarri can provide matuidi, tek and alex sandro with a break, then bonucci and de ligt deserve the same. backup cb's must start to play before defense becomes an issue.

I don't think Ramsey works best as the trequartista. We grow quite soft with him there. For all the ineffectiveness of Bernardeschi attacking he does give us balance to play with 2 strikers. The last matches of Ramsey dropping to the mid 3 looked better.

He isn't? If you ask me he was in decline before we signed him. Doesn't mean he wont play a great game once in a while, but let's be honest here: how many truly great games has he played for us so far?

Devil's advocate: Ever since we signed Ronaldo, we have been steadily declining as a team.

He was in decline in Madrid, having in mind his overall game, and he still was a protagonist. What I'm saying is he's capable of doing much better than he's doing now. Denying that is pure revisionism.

As you can see ronaldo is very little in the box and very little swapping sides just stuck rigid on the left side and thats the Difference between a good coach understanding how to use ronaldo and a bad one like Sarri. Ronaldo needs to sort hes own form out but dont tell me that Sarri isnt at fault for not using him right either.

As myself and others have noted in this thread, we play significantly better with Higuain/Dybala than we do when Ronaldo is in the lineup.

Unfortunately, Ronaldo is the only player who is too big to be benched.
