I mean, surely Mire was gonna pass the ball anyway if he thinks it's worth it.
Yeah, about that...
Sarri wants him to be more involved in our build up.Pjanic tends to hide sometimes during games.
So More touches and passes make sure he is always involved and available.
by swiftly passing the ball around, it is our aim to open up the defence, 150 passes for Pjanic is not the aim, it is the way to contol the game
Besides these - Pjanic disappearing and us upping the tempo - Sarri also mentioned Pjanic needing to make more vertical passes. He's absolutely spot on about both.

How many of them useless 2 meter sideway passes?
Lampard seems to have the exact opposite philosophy, with Jorginho's passes down to 67 per game from 84 per game last season. Not that surprising imo that it has led to Chelsea looking much better going forward this season than they did last season. The amount of passes a single player has during a game is a pretty irrelevant metric without context.

Give him time.it took Alegri half a year to implement his ideas and made us great on wards.

Sarri is trying something new that this club never experienced before.
He has to change our style and get results in the same time.and I think He is doing a very good job until now , our team was hugely Costa dependent at beginning of the season , but now we are creating chances easily without him on the pitch.

Team is improving with each game passing and this is the most important thing right now.

With Allegri it was different as he used the basis of Conte's ideas and over time evolved it to something better. With Sarri it is a complete overhaul of the old style, thus it will take longer. Tbh we've handled it pretty well so far when you compare it to say Milan who are trying something similar, but unlike milan at least you can see some of the ideas coming through.

First, it was we had no plans, we fired Allegri and hired Sarri all in a panic (mind you these fans followed the club for the past 8 yrs) before Sarri said he had never seen a club so well-planned & detail-oriented in their approach before.

Then, it was he won't rotate or play another formation or be willing to change anything.

Now, it's "we only won 2-0, not 4-0, worried."

This is ridiculous level of good logic. It was all supposed to happen and get implemented before the first game.

I agree with this. Pjanic is talented but inconsistent throughout the game. He would go on for a large period in matches hiding away from the ball when he needs to be reference point in our midfield. This season though he seems much more involved. So in this context 150 passes make sense.

41212 is always great in every save I play FM, especially with 2 False 9 up top, as they can draw defender out from their area. If they dont come out, will punish them with long shoot

Haven't played anything but 433 in a long long time.

What's your setup with the 41212? Short passing & attacking?

More excuses and loser comments from him. The management should fire as soon as possible.
Management set him up as the perfect fall guy here.

The only knock they will take on the chin is for hiring him in the first place. But they can always fall back on the clubs aspirations vs what their hire was actually capable of after the fact. Brilliant boardroom tactics at play here.
