That's not true. It has gone down considerably, now it's mostly young people and many end up quitting by their 30s
Of course not.

I dont know where everyone is from, but there is a mischaracterization in some posts about smoking in Italy, like the guy saying the majority smokes.

Smoking in italy is less prevalent than in most European countries. Its below the EU average, and below Spain, France, etc and most of central europe.
Easy there boy. I was just telling my impression. And it was that smoking is more omnipresent in Italy than it is in Poland for example. Even though smoking is not a taboo in Poland neither. I think you got me wrong there and thought that I am insulting Italiens because they smoke which is such a stupid thing to do because it hurts your health. Actually I don't think that way. The current generation thinks they will fucking live forever because they eat soya sausages, don't smoke, do sports, drink a lot of water and things like that. Obviously three packs a day is an overkill but an occasional cigarette is nothing wrong.

The people have choices smoke or not smoke. When it goes down that way, the only person who took the blame is him/herself.

But whatever the condition, all we can do is hoping the best for our Mister. Get well soon

I didn't think it was an insult, I chipped in, as saying that the majority smoke is totally off. Poland for example is very much higher on smoking, higher than than the EU average as well.

ah yes people who have a flaw or a vice deserve to suffer and die without sympathy.

very american of you. im proud
Yes, without sympathy. 3 packs a day for example is not a flaw, it's asking for it. Like every smoker he is familiar with the risks, and his doctor prolly asks him to stop smoking every time he sees him, yet he doesn't. I'm not gonna care more for his body than he does himself, when his bad habits finally come to bite him in the ass. Same with massively obese people.
