Sarri:
At the moment, we cannot make any assumptions just yet, we have left many players at home. This evening, we gave a chance to youngsters, who were ready.
Now, for 10 days, we can train without matches and we can enjoy some good preparation.
Ronaldo? He expected to play less, today I talked to him, and he was very tired, so we decided to rest him. We played in a beautiful stadium, with a large audience and a perfect turf.

So, just so I understand the meltdowners:

1.) We have had like, 2 weeks of preparation under a new coach and philosophy?
2.) A new CB that literally joined the team the day it left for Asia
3.) Another new CB
4.) Our best CB at home nursing another injury.
5.) Two of our best attackers are still at home (Dybala/Costa)
6.) Arguably our best well-rounded CM (Ramsey) hasn't even played a single minute
7.) Sandro is still gone
8.) Today we had two youngsters start, and two of our youth players scored decent goals.
9.) Still integrating new players for foreign leagues
10.) Not counting these teams have had longer preseason preparation than we have so far

**Does anyone not recall that season under Max where we started the season bleeding goals? Or I guess that doesn't matter.

**I guess everyone also forgot how dreadfully predictable we were under Max in attack. But hey, that 1-1 against the mighty MLS allstars last preseason that we had to win on PKs was really a 3-0 win for Juve

**Let's ignore the 2017 season where we lost the Suppercoppa to Lazio (LOL) even though many chalked that up to still in preseason form where there were complaints that we lost to Tottenham right before the loss to Lazio

**Hate to bring up the dreary 1-1 draw against Melbourne Victory in 2016 where we conceded goals in EVERY SINGLE FRIENDLY under Max (Tottenham, Melbourne, Espaynol, South China (LOL), and Westham)...actually, we didn't conceded against Juve U-23. Consequently, we went on lose to Milan on penalties in the SuperCoppa as well :baus:

Hey nerds, if we haven't figured out how to fix the defense in a couple months then panic all you want. All I'm trying to say is give the fucking coach some time and for gods sakes let the players we have learn what needs to be done under this guy BEFORE we jump off a cliff.

Same predictable posters that have already made there mind up and will never give Sarri a chance i was never massive on sarri but now that hes here you at least give time.
it works both ways, though. They could end up 100% right, and we look like idiots or the other way around.

Still, I think if anyone should be getting hate from them it isn't Sarri: I should be the board.

@JCK @Post Ironic - I’ll bet you that if Sarri wins the next two Scudetti playing the same football we have always played, plastic fans (posters like this guy) will be against Sarri and we’ll end up defending him.

Who is having a meltdown about preseason? I don’t even watch these pointless matches let alone care about them.

Aside from a few ninnies I doubt anyone is hating on Sarri over these matches. The dislike for Sarri is from long before.

Anyways, I hope he does well here. We’ll get our first evidence come December after CL group stage.

Lol at them thinking we don’t like Sarri because of these games. Trust me, I’d be saying the same things about him even if we win these games.

preseason means nothing at all. if anything the preseasons where we are awful seem to be the ones that precede the best seasons

preseason means nothing at all. the first month of the competitive season means little as well. if anything the preseasons where we are awful seem to be the ones that precede the best seasons.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. The preseason where we lost against LA Galaxy and Everton was the season we got knocked out of the CL in the group stages - the infamous frozen kebab game.

I’m not worried about results in pre season. I’m more concerned with what style Sarri is trying to implement and to me there is already worrying signs. Our defence (which is meant to be our strongest area now) looks like it will be getting exposed on a regular basis.

Funny thing is that Sarri says he dosen’t care about transfers, but he adapt his system to the players he’s got available. But you already see the apologist here blame Allgeri.

i dislike sarri as much as anyone but i am willing to give him a chance.

with the squad available he would have to be god awful to achieve anything less than Serie A domination my concern would be how his style of play will suit us against a top tier foreign side.

he had better be much more flexible with his tactics than his reputation would suggest or we arent going anywhere in Europe.

the strength of the two previous coaches sides, in europe, was never champagne football but tactical flexibility allowing us to cater the approach to opposition and players disciplined enough to carry the approach out.

i worry that we will not see those traits in the team this season.

bashing bologna and chievo 5-0 wont make up for it.
