Why do we have to only pay 4.5m now? Not that im complaining
The amount is adjusted for accounting purposes to show less loss if he was to be sold . Discount on isla was going to be added to the price of pereyra .

( Read this when the pereyra deal was in the news , 15m asking price of his was probably because of this )

I think we've jumped in with that before he has any more good WC performances. Hopefully Sunderland or some other English suckers will buy him if he continues to play well and Chile go far.

He will be good next season.

ISLAAAAA <3

I think people still don't understand the problem with Isla. He's playing mostly counter-attacking football with Chile, same as with Udinese. He has always done well in that kind of setup.

Isla has never been good in our possession game and never will, he just does not have the right attributes. He cannot beat his man, his technique is mediocre and his crossing is underwhelming.

Let's hope he continues playing well at the world cup so that we can sell him for more money.

Why do people want Darmian then? Lame argument anyway. Isla will prove you wrong :)

His technique is good, can use both feet, good crossing, seems rather competent defensively.

Isla lacks all these attributes. I really wanted Isla to succeed here but he's too limited.
Agree.

I haven't been so impressed with an Italian WB since Zambrotta was strutting his stuff. Darmian was really the difference between Italy-England.
