he was supposedly our RB at that time and he was nowhere near that position to cover for barzagli; but really this guy just can't be expected to defend, and to think tht we valued him at 18m

I've tried to support this guy. I've tried to back him and believe that he will come good given time. I thought judging him last season was a bit unfair given his injury and all...but I've run out of patience now. This guy is finished as a footballer, at least for a big club. Scared, error prone, can't pass, can't cross, can't defend. He's almost like a Chilean Marco Motta. What an atrocious player he's become.
