Hey, it took Nedved and Zidane over 6 months to make an impact; the same can be said for Platini. They are all legends of the game, so give this guy a chance.
The way I see it is, Conte gives certain players only so many chances and you have to impress within that range of matches. Isla simply didnt do enough, he barely did anything good

The way I remember it, it even took Nedved an entire season to make a real impact.

That's not my point anyway. If, as Dusan says, the issue with him is not being fit after all this time, then there's not much hope left as far as I'm concerned. Guess we'll have to wait & see, but there's a reason why he was behind Padoin in the pecking order, so he'll have his work cut out for himself is he's going to continue at Juve.

Did he get injured again while he was here? Or is it the same injury he carried with him while he made the switch? I'm asking because I don't remember.
I'm guessing it's the same injury, or multiple smaller issues stemming from the initial injury at least.

Isla missed some matches with muscle fatigue this year, which could mean that he was training hard to come back to 100% fitness, which took its toll

:agree:

This is the exact same reason why we should sell Marchisio because we sold Zidane in the past.
Oh, and I never said sell Marchisio because we sold Zidane. I said it isn't unreasonable to assume that Marchisio is available for sale at the right price (especially if we can vastly improve our attack with the money he generates), considering that a player who is 100 times the player Marchisio can ever aspire to be was sold (yes I know Marchisio is Italian, and that Zidane's wife pushed him towards the exit door).
