Perin is significantly better than both Marchetti (who is totally finished these days btw) and Mirante.

No idea why people are whinging about this potential signing. €15-20m for the best Italian keeper in Serie A, is a great deal. The trend for top clubs these days is to have two starting quality keepers in their ranks. Starting a potentially crucial CL game with Mirante, Marchetti or some other scrub would be a disaster.
But how can you be so sure a backup GK could potentially start a CL game ? How many games did Neto even start when he deputized Buffon ?

I am not against the quality of the keeper. He would be a good signing but i'm afraid one that we dont particularly need right now. Midfield or even a Mandzukic replacement should be a bigger priority. Do we have funds for both ?

It’s a risk we can’t take. Just this past season, we had Buffon getting an injury before a vital CL game against Olympiakos, and then luckily for us we had Woj to come in and have a fantastic MOM performance.

Now imagine if Szczesny was injured in warm-up before a crucial CL game, and we have to field Mirante? I don’t think it will end well.

Of course midfield is a priority, and of course we have money for it. We’ve already sealed one CM, let’s see what :beppe: has in store for us next. I’m pretty sure the club sees it as the main problem area, fullbacks will need to be looked at too.

You also need two good GK's to compete with each other. Woj would get lazy in training if his competition is some scrub like Marchetti or Pinsoglio

Good signing. He won't be the financial problem of this mercato; Morata, Darmian and Florenzi/Bonaventura is where the critical eyes must turn.

Nonsense.

Im happy with the quality that Perin brings to the team, however I also had in mind that we still had Audero, Pinsoglio so, a second keeper really is not the priority, especially since we know we need a WC CM and a Mandzu replacement, possibly even Alex Sandro's replacement..

I do see Bianconeri_Aus point though, wherein if we did get an injury before an important match, it could really be a blow not having a good GK to take over, maybe get an experienced freebie, but me personally I would like to see Audero getting more matches..

Yeah it was done as soon as the rumour came up.

Gonna be very interesting to see how much game-time he gets.
He is still young especially for a Gk.

I like this deal for someone as talented as him and him verbally also saying he has no problem with the competition. He knows coming into this that he isn't look at as a starter.

15-20 million on Perin (a very good keeper mind you), another 15 on Jabroni Supreme Dumpian, another 25+ on the epic sack of shit Bonaventura, and then no more money for other signings. Oops! Time to sell a quality player for that Plusvalenza :baus:

Woj is here to stay, made some unreal saves this season. Future legend material.

It would be so great to see him become a goat GK and Arsenal fans have 50 year old Cech in goal
