We were after him in January, apparently Allegri opposed the idea.
so you still believe these narratives? soulé literally said that motta wanted to keep him, the club sold him regardless. do you think allegri knew and ever requested either of djaló and alcaraz? or weah a year ago for that matter? this winter allegri asked for a starter midfielder to challenge for the scudetto, he got an inexperienced dude from the english 2nd division lol. do you think his input was considered when giuntoli was probably already talking to motta, or at least considering a change during the summer?

bottom line is that it's still the club that does the mercato at juventus 99% of the time

I did say "apparently" I never said this was the narrative, make of it what you will.

At the same time I don't think Mazraoui has ever played as a wing back so to sign him last January for Allegri might have been a waste.

like allegri ever cared about former positions played by any player, he was gonna shoe horn him into the lineup anyway if he liked the player. dani alves and mandzukic as wingers, weah and mckennie as wingbacks, everyone as left back, etc

anyway rest assured allegri wasn't a deciding factor in our winter mercato

btw the twitter version of you already jinxed their season lol

Can’t handle it if we have done an Arjen Robben here. Two totally different players I know, but I think you should get my point. Guy is injury prone and not the best with the ball at his feet, but he loves/loved the club and always gave everything.

If he turns into a beast/legend at United that would be a hard pill to swallow..

Seeing this post you’d think Bayern are about to lose someone with the impact of Arjen Robben lol

I’ll just quote myself on this one to help you ease the bitterness a bit.

That comparison really made me laugh a bit, although i can see where you are coming from with it, but i think you can relax because DeLigt even if he becomes a consistently good defender he will never unlock games or score crucial and brilliant individual goals that elevates everyone around them to a higher level… he is a solid CB when being part of a well functioning system, but that’s about it, he is replaceable even on his best days, just depends on who you replace him with.

Yeah, I'm sure he loved Bayern. Anyway, is he still with that skinny blonde?
He did, but the board forced him out. Only time will tell if the decision was right or not.

He’s 25 and still a very talented CB. He might have topped too early, but there’s no doubt to me he can turn into one of the best defenders in the world with consistency.

Just like you could see with Robben in first Chelsea and Real Madrid, he was World class, but needed consistency and was forced out because they needed to make sales. Just like De Ligt this summer.

When you have error prone defenders like Upamecano and Kim but De ligt is sold how much does Kompany have say in these transfer deals?

He has a lot to say really. Unless he turns Upamecano into the next Beckenbauer he’s having an explenation problem. So do the board as a whole for keeping him around for another year.

How many handballs has he given away at Bayern? I used to be pissed seeing him handing out penalties when he was with us.
