Cant see what he did wrong yesterday, he was solid at least.
Though I have some worries over him, his perfomances remind me too much of Ruganis - doesnt show the confidence I would expect.

At Ajax he was all over the place. On the midfield, giving long range passes, pressing like hell. He was more attacking minded.
Now he looks more like a lazy defender.

Maybe Sarri don't want him to play like this. I don't know.

BTW: Don't think he was that bad today. But he isn't the same player anymore.
You have to remember Ajax formed up as a 2-3-5 formation going forward which basically meant the 2 at the back became midfielders acting as pivots for the central mid

He's barely had time to settle, doesn't know the language so communicating at the back is next to impossible for him right now, of course he will look a little lost and will try and act upon instinct for now. Don't worry he will come good

I just don't like the fact he hoofs every other ball that he could intercept and pass to someone else to maintain possession. It's like he's afraid of making a dumb mistake so he uses all his power to kick it away as fast and far as possible. That way he hit Bonucci's arm which in another game could have been a pen.

He needs to be told and explained to calm down and keep his head up. If he fixes that, he'll be one hell of a defender.

To be honest I would rather he hoofs the ball than try to be fancy and a do an Evra.

Well, of course. There's some middle ground there too. Especially after seeing him for Ajax in CL, where he oozed with confidence and was distributing balls so well.

He's still got time though so I don't mean to complain at all. I'm sure he'll do well. It's just that I noticed he does that a lot and a bit too often for a player of his ability.

Give him time. It's always better to clear the ball instead of lose it in the defense. He's clearly improving game by game.

Aren't they pathetic. Hopefully they are going to be ridiculed in the quarters again, with a bit of luck it'll be by us.

I'd place more of the blame on FI with that false quote as a headline.

“We made him an offer, but he preferred to go to Juve, where Italian taxation allows him to earn a higher net salary.” CEO Oscar Grau said during the presentation of his club’s budget.

Everything he said there is pretty much true.

No one complained when Spanish clubs benefitted greatly from similar tax breaks.

Joke is on them. If it was just about money, they should've spent it on a generational talent and strengthen their defense and think longer term (we're talking potentially 15 yrs of service) than further strengthen their attack. Scoring was never an issue for them.

De Ligt is the least of my worries.
I’m of the same opinion. I find he’s doing better game after game. It’s just a matter of time before he regains his true form.

Midfield is work in progress. I just want to see Rabiot starting along Pjanic and Ramsey, Sarri has to try something of that sort.

RB position, I hope Danilo will get a grip very soon.

Defense, those goals we’re conceding from set pieces are a real issue.
