He was always bound to leave.

Get at least the price we paid for him back, I don't think we're getting 100m, let alone his release clause.

Get Bremer, Hickey, Svanberg, and Zaniolo for that money. Fill out the squad with young hungry players.
I don’t think we’re in a position to buy Zaniolo when we have a player that we are crying out for in Vlahovic is ripping up the league yet a complete pipe dream.

Vlahović will be gone in January. And even if he isn't anyone who doesn't get Haaland in the summer will be all over him. Unless we're suddenly fraught with money I don't see us beating PSG, City, United etc.

Zaniolo will be almost half the price of Vlahović unless he extends his contract. 40m tops imo under current situation

You must be joking. He's a top defender, true professional yet so young. I'd start with "pay the clause" or GTFO" just to sell for 120m in the end. 100m must be the absolute minimum.

1. Club is not going to do that because nobody is paying that and they won't want to have future issues with Raiola who, like him or not, is a good source for players of this level, albeit short-term
2. Even if they went that route, still nobody is spending that much on a CB in a summer where two biggest stars on the move will be strikers plus there are young CBs who can be had for less (Kounde, Fofana) or plenty of solid CBs have their contracts expiring this summer. Then you maybe get to keep De Ligt whose agent is unhappy and isn't extending his contract and the summer after that you maybe get 40-50m if you're lucky.

Defenders just don't go for that much that often.

Release clause?

No wonder Raiola is so happy with us. Our management needs to act tough anyone who wants to sign De Ligt trigger his release clause or transfer fees close to it.
We need to stop working with Raiola. Before he used to get his best players now we do him favours by taking his headcase players like Ihattaren.

I am sure our management hands are always tied. We should learn from lotito and de Laurentis of selling the players on their terms rather than agents terms.

Raiola’s plan was/is always going to be to sell De Ligt to another team, the current situation of the team just accelerate that and maybe for a year, but I’m almost sure that in Raiola’s plan, he had De Ligt out of Juve by 2023.

Raiola always said that De Ligt came to Italy because it was the best place for a defender to learn to be a great defender, but he never intend a long stay for De Ligt in Juventus.

All I want is that Juve gets EVERY dollar that the contract says, we have to demand respect because to me Raiola’s comments on De Ligt (this and the one when he said that it was a shame that Bayern didn’t got De Ligt) are very disrespectful to Juventus, no matter the situation we are.

What kind of approach is that? Bending over to an agent just like that? Juve is a big club, shoudn't act like pushovers. It's about time we make profits out of this investment. Otherwise just keep him and buy yourself some time to find a couple of quality defenders. I'd be fine with an extension for a lower release clause too. There were rumors about that too.

Juve made an important investment and they should expect Raiola to bring a proper offer to the table. No more bending over please, otherwise we should just avoid Raiola players. They cost fortune and don't bring the proper cash influx, then what's really the point?

I can't blame him for wanting to leave. He came here thinking he is joining a well oiled machine needing just the extra push to win the CL, and found a very different reality both on the football level and the club management level.

Now Raiola should do what he does best and negotiate a massive transfer fee like he did for Pogba.

Is it so simplistic or he wants a better deal like pogba/Ronaldo ?

This is the interview he gave: https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2021/12/17/mino-raiola-ik-heb-nooit-beweerd-dat-ik-goedkoop-ben-a4069406

Could be that the situation gets more attention than it should get. NRC is usually a quality newspaper but it’s something he said ‘off camera’

I don’t know about that or those figures, they seem overly optimistic. I think the main parallel I am trying to draw between Vlahovic and Zaniolo is that we are not Juventus of a few years ago where we can afford to pillage our rivals such as when we were able to splash the cash for Pjanic or Berna (Chiesa to a lesser extent because let’s see what comes out of this investigation). On top of that we’re no longer league overlords but direct rivals of both these teams. Not that easy imo.

If he is offered enough money he would probably stay. But it'd have to be crazy money thats at the same level or more than his potential suitors in the EPL or PSG would offer. If we get a great offer we should let him go and reinvest in the squad.

With Rudiger set to leave Chelsea in the summer, I think they are in absolute pole position to sign De Ligt. Have the money, and are a team that is moving in the right direction unlike Juve.

I’m still hopeful we can keep him, but it’s a very weak hope. Would be an absolute kick in the rear. He’s a generational talent who could have gone on to be an icon here, but oh well.

It’s unlikely, but maybe we should consider making a move for Rudiger as well. I don’t dislike Romagnoli and think he’s a decent player when fit, but he won’t be my first choice. Although he is still 26 and might have his best years ahead of him.
