Also, looking around the defences in Europe, who has a more deep central back department than ours? Real has some guy called Nachos and young Varane behind Ramos and Pepe.
Chelsea has some unknowns called Zuma and Ake behind Terry and Ivanovic/Cahill.
Best team last few years Bayern Munchen has now free agent van Buyten to replace Boateng and Dante.
And let's not even talk about Barca.
All of those teams have dominated Europe the last few years and I swear it has nothing to do about their lack of a 7th defender and all to do with their offensive firepower.
But Juventus? Well having 6 defenders is not enough. Need more, more, moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee because our king Marotta said so.

We got two starters. One is 30 and been declining for years. The other is getting old and is gonna be a huge loss when he goes.
Whats after that ? Bonucci is decent, but weak as a pure central defender, it will require chiellini beeing more aggressive and play more risky to work, and it will make the 4D line less potent
Ogbonna, caceres and roflmao, that filth marrone, are far to week for our centreback.
We are so close to barzagli's end of career, and chiellini beeing to unreliable, and we got NOTHING to replace them with.
Attacking midfielders ? HOW OLD ARE ASAMOAH, MARCHISIO, POGBA, VIDAL ? we dont need an attacking mid. Where are the 433 guys at now ? formation without attacking mid

how many times has our defense let us down in crucial moments last season? the only dependable CB we got is oft injured and 33, we definitely can use a solid CB that will last us more than 1 season, also if we dont believe bonucci and ogbonna are long term solutions we should sell them now rather than later.
I still think there is a decent chance Ogbonna will become a good player.
I don't know if he's likely to get enough playing time at Juve for that to happen, though.

Juve may start the season playing 3-5-2, but I'll be very surprised if they don't gradually transition to playing Allegri's preferred '4-3-something' over the course of the season.
