At some point that was Allegri's biggest flaw. He was great at creating plans for spectacular comebacks. I mean, who on Earth puts Lichtsteiner on when you need a goal the way he did against Tottenham? But he always fucked up at first and got us in situations we should never have been in.
The come back against A.Madrid was magical but it was because of CR7 and his grace of majestic. The match against R.madrid in 2018 was close but the referee affected that game. He didn't save us in those two CL finals. Allegri was literally fantastic at defending and parking the bus which never led to great achievement. One level more above Conte because of two CL finals.

Do you remember our home game? The amount of chances we missed, then red card for Dybala and we played with a man down against a team that no one had managed to eliminate for 3 straight seasons. Fans who cant appreciate the grit our team showed that night, deserve all the shit show we have seen over the last several years.
In a vacuum it's one thing, but we had a habit of situations like this during his tenure. See above for my feelings on this.

the away game was great, it felt like we showed our true potential there, that if we're not scared and play balls out from minute 1, we could pin back and beat anyone in Europe. looking back at that team some players feel underrated, f.e. Matuidi, who that summer was an influential player for France winning the WC, that guy could run.

however that game feels like a stark contrast to the half-assed football we played for most of that season in CL.
In my opinion, that Real Madrid team was the greatest club team of all time. We did underrate players such as Matuidi and Khedira etc but we simply did not compare on paper. The fact we came back from 3-0 to make it 3-3 against the reigning champions, and arguably the best team ever, at the Bernabeu and only lost to a controversial penalty made proud. I know there is a lot of revisionist history of recent, but I seem to remember most of us on here being proud of our performance. We even had Vialli user banned for saying otherwise. Would go back and look at the old live threads but can't be bothered.

edit: lol @Stephan called it:

West Ham have held discussions with Max Allegri to potentially replace Julen Lopetegui as their manager, according to talkSPORT.
The six-time Serie A winner with Juventus would consider taking the job at the London Stadium, but only at the end of the current season.
This scenario would mean that the Hammers’ management are open to appointing an interim manager to lead the team until the season’s conclusion should Lopetegui be sacked. Another name linked with the West Ham job is Graham Potter.
Lopetegui was only appointed this summer, replacing David Moyes in the dugout. However, he has since won just four of his 14 Premier League matches.
Following their midweek loss to Leicester, West Ham sit 14th in the table after securing only one win in their last five games.
Lopetegui’s team could find themselves just three points above the relegation zone before their match against Wolves on Monday.
Meanwhile, Allegri is currently without a club after his second stint at Juventus. A move to the London Stadium would mark his first managerial role outside of Italy.
The 57-year-old had previously revealed in 2019 that he was taking English lessons in anticipation of a potential job in the Premier League.
