...Could it be Sevilla are just a proven EL side?...
or just football isn't linear and teams' comparative ranking isn't constant

benfica looked pretty good until the beginning of this calendar year, then they shat the bed. ajax was an international level team before they dropped to hopeless relegation battles then bounced back. union looked like a solid german side before bonbon ruined their mojo. we used to win the league until we didn't.

anyway, if you have any doubts in life, just come here. this thread has an (the?) explanation for everything. death, taxes, allegri.

What does the name Massimiliano Allegri mean to you?
In fields of dreams, where victories soared,
Max Allegri’s prowess brightly roared.
A maestro of tactics, a sage in the game,
His brilliance ignited Juventus’ fame.

With cunning strategies and a master's eye,
He guided his team to the glorious sky.
Serie A titles, trophies held high,
His name in the annals, painted in the sky.

But time, a fickle and twisting friend,
Can bring the mightiest to a sudden bend.
In shadows cast by glory's wane,
Max Allegri faced a different lane.

His touch, once magic, seemed to fade,
Tactics faltered, decisions delayed.
The whispers of doubt, the critics' call,
A fall from grace, a staggering stall.

The winds of change blew fierce and cold,
As victories turned to tales of old.
Max Allegri's reign, a bygone song,
As newer stars emerged, vibrant and strong.

In the ebb and flow of football’s grace,
He sought to rise, to find his place.
But fate, unkind, refused to mend,
His glory days met a sorrowful end.

The echoes linger of past acclaim,
Yet shadows cast a haunting claim.
Max Allegri, once a radiant star,
Now lost in the night, dim and far.

His legacy, a bittersweet refrain,
Recalled in whispers tinged with pain.
A fall from grace, a heart's lament,
A brilliance faded, a talent spent.

In the annals of time, a solemn tale,
Of how greatness faltered, how dreams grew pale.
Max Allegri's name, a fading ember,
Lost in the past, a sad November.
