I was going on their hype and perceived potential when they arrived here.
Kaio and Kulu were both much hyped. Arthur's fee was explained by his status as the next Iniesta, and Mac was very good at Schalke. Alex Sandro was the next Roberto Carlos when he joined, and indeed looked the real deal for a few years. Rugani was nailed-on as the next upcoming Italian CB after his year in Empoli, and Cuads would still be old but he used to be great.
Perin is great now, even in our timeline

let's put it this way: besides kostic, perin and a consistent gatti (which might or might not exist), this team has zero players worthy of an even weak juventus in 2023/24
