We joke about this whole situation but think about this; a few years back this guy was loved and praised as one of the best coaches in our history, reaching two CL finals (which to this day I still believe we could’ve beaten any team in the world but those two generational beasts that was Madrid and that Barcelona) and really putting Juventus back on top of the world stage again.

Fast forward to today and he’s one of the most hated people in the club’s history. It really shows in sports it only matters what you are today.

In the last few hours, there were a meeting between Max Allegri and the sporting director Manna to talk about Juventus’ plans and moves on the mercato, the coach appeared very excited and eager to restart, sharing the club's plan. (@SkySport)

Do you think the view of him would have been different had we won one or both of those finals?

Possibly. Reaching two finals is nice but in the end you’re still a loser. If he had won both finals he would be untouchable for a while. The only coach in the club’s history to achieve that.

So I think he would be given a little more leeway however in sports it’s all about the present so eventually fans would turn on him.

Winning trophies with an inferior team by horrible football is fine, but not when you have the superior team. We've never played to our capabilities so it's hard to know what we could actually win. Given that we had the lead against Sevilla then let them have the ball and score, I'd say we should be able to win the EL.

Contrast that with Lippi. Yes, the man failed in both 97 and 98, but he did guide us to the CL crown in 96. He was humble enough to resign in 99 when things weren't going well for us midseason. That's class right there, unlike the obstinate delusional fossilized reptilian prick. The insufferable shitcunt seems to think he's actually part of the solution.

Previous to his 2nd stint here, he was a WC coach but even back then, he didn't show he had a good eye or plan to pick players

So now that he's transformed into a terrible coach, he would also assemble the team lol

He would create a team that provides him the perfect excuse to fail again and complete his 4 year contract without even sweating or taking responsibility for his failures.

I respect his decision to try to complete his contract and collect all his money, but now he's going to make sure our failure keep going after he left, not matter if it's on purpose or by incompetent, same

If we go by what’s been reported (if true) it seems it’s a mutual agreement, the club wants him to stay and so does he. Is he wrong? Well, I wouldn’t resign either unless they made me feel unwelcomed but only then. They signed a contract and both parties want to see it through, unfortunately.

Those were different times with Lippi. Juve was one of the top dogs back then. Expectations were always at their highest pre-calciopoli. Our goals were different.

This was too long ago so can’t remember the details but I bet there was a mutual agreement to part ways. So I don’t blame Allegri for staying but the club for making him stay.
