I can see the merit in delaying to ruin our window. But the same argument would be that he will have a Sporting Director that knows he is leaving to join a rival and will have access to all Napoli's scouting reports/list of targets/negotiations.

If he keeps him he'll have to put him on leave and get another SD in place.
