I don't think it's "wanting to keep his job". A guy like him will always find a job. Maybe for a bit less money, but he's already a multimilionaire so I don't think it's that important to him. On the other hand it probably isn't "passion for the club" either. I think his behaviour is simply "wanting to win the game" as in he wants to be on top in this very moment, this very game etc. He was furious because the added time could have costed HIM (not the team) a win.
