It's funny that over the last 10 years of Juves success there's been times where some posters point and laugh at other big clubs
"Look at how Liverpool, Bayern, Chelsea, Barca are doing! See it happens to everyone, we're not so bad" except at the peak of their cycles they grab a Champions league or 2 before some rough times
I don't care how bad Liverpool are this season, they competed with teams in the PL with a massively inferior budget for years and built a CL winning team under a manager who took what many considered average players expecially in midfield & played positive, aggressive fucking football the entire time.
What would Allegri do with Milner & Fabinho & Henderson etc? He'd have them defending a 0-0 against any half decent team.
cl is a lottery though. and allegri initially didn't even have an expensive team. wanna check how expensive was the one that progressed to a cl final against real madrid? that was a lyon beating city, villarreal beating bayern kinda upset. we also had inferior budgets to all clubs that beat us in the cl before ajax, that rarely happens throughout 4 years
again, allegri's first 4 years was basically flawless
also, klopp wanted fabinho who's an excellent player and in his prime would have fit in most teams. in england it's the coach who makes the mercato decisions, of course klopp had a team just like he wanted. allegri never was in a similar position. not that i'd let him do the mercato now, paredes is a big enough red flag lol, my point is that these rhetorical questions don't make too much sense. klopp won with a klopp team. imagine klopp beating real with sturaro, or scoring 3 vs atleti with emre can or bernardeschi
before someone deliberately misunderstands above point: i'm not saying that klopp is a bad coach, in fact he's elite obviously. not necessarily a good fit for juventus, still a very good coach and he built a winning team on his own. but this year neither his team nor himself aren't doing well enough. so what, shit happens in football
and an other thing we ignored so far: let's not forget that every team that won the cl since mourinho's porto had a higher budget than juve. weird to suggest that since allegri never won the cl, he's automatically a bad coach. his first juve punched above their weight in the cl for 4 years, nobody could realistically expect that team to win the whole thing
so yeah, we have every right to laugh at city and psg. they spent shit load of money without winning the cl. with their resources and the backbone of last decade's team we would have won it already. we have every right to ridicule chelsea too, they spent as much as we do in 5 seasons, fired a good coach, brought in the flavor of the month, and became worse than ever.
obviously that doesn't mean that we shouldn't improve. we absolutely should do better. most of our signigs aren't working, we stopped dominating the league, we are out of the 10 best european clubs (allegri the
shitfaced fraud as some ungrateful fucks call him made us number 3 lol), we spent hundreds of millions on mediocre at best players, we overpay our coach who's doing a terrible job, we do not have quick players, the physical condition of the squad is ridiculous, i could go on for days. most criticism is warranted. but we shouldn't ignore what other teams are fucking up. we can have a good laugh, and let's hope we'll have a management that learns from the mistakes jj and other clubs have been doing.
