This isn’t just about this season though. how many more seasons do we have to be “optimistic” everything will be fine once everybody is fully fit? Who guarantees Chiesa will find his form after being out for that long? Who guarantees Pogba, the tik tok footballer who hasn’t done shit in years, will do what he was brought back to do? Di Maria is the only one I kinda still believe can bring real improvements to the squad. And even if miraculously everybody is fit, how long until our butchers show their work?

So many variables with injuries, bad tactics and lack of gameplan has shown us we should be anything but optimistic. We’re still struggling against much weaker opposition and there’s no excuses, injuries or not, for that. I just don’t buy it anymore.
tuzzers are stupid. they believe in fairy tales, but suddenly they will all be experts come end of season.

Its like everyone forgot this isn’t Roma, Juventus is one of the biggest clubs in history and that’s a fact. We used to be respected, our players used to be sought after by everyone and there was a strong mentality about winning and playing with a die hard attitude.

Wtf happened? Why all the apologies for Allegri, the players or the people running the club? The fans should be mad this is what we get after working so hard to rebuild post calciopoli. It’s indefensible.

And other people do see improvements this season, and those are borne out by the results on the pitch thus far. We started this season missing multiple players and integrating multiple new players and youngsters too, and we have 8 points vs 2 points, and 6 goals scored - 1 conceded vs 4 goals scored - 6 conceded. Those are clear and obvious improvements in results, even if our midfield-attack still struggles with chance creation.

And who’s to say Chiesa doesn’t return and find fine form? He’s been fantastic for us in the 1-1/3 seasons he’s been here. I see no reason a player that driven won’t return to that fairly quickly. Aside from Pogba, none of the others have any reason shown to be more negative than positive about.

How many more seasons? Well, Allegri has been back one year, that was a disappointing failure. This is year two of the new project, we saw a lot of changes in the mercato. We’re already far ahead of that this season to start, results-wise, so perhaps let’s see where we’re at in a month or two before saying everyone who isn’t pessimistic is just fooling themselves. You’re welcome to stay pessimistic, I don’t think there is anything particularly wrong with that, but saying nothing has improved isn’t all that accurate thus far.

Again, apologies? Maybe wait until we lose a match or two this year before throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Clubs have transitions into new projects, we’re in that now. If we see no improvements this year, Allegri and upper management should be sacked. But let’s actually see the results on the pitch. It’s been 4 matches lol

Defensively we're in really good shape, not so much in creating clear chances on goal. That was how we got the better of elite teams in the CL, creating a few great chances and being clinical in front of goal. Then we defend immaculately with our lead until we win the game.

Its the Allegri way and it works to an extent, both Chelsea games highlight the pros and cons of this tactic but I'm worried that we'll drop lots of points because we create very little. If even the best teams can draw matches with 20 shots on target, it makes me think that in the tough games we'll need to be incredibly clinical to get those wins.

I'd like to be optimistic but you've got to think about probabilities. PSG will dominate possession just like Chelsea but are we going to take our chances or will we get picked off on the counter after we concede? I can't tell with the team yet.

whatever the case if we don't win anything this season, allegri is gone he got what none of the previous 2 managers had that was time and resources as Elkann promised recently, time to deliver.
LOL

Paratici overspent on trash during both of Pirlo and Sarri’s reigns of terror, wtf are you even talking about?

Look at how low our net spend is this mercato. We’ve replaced outgoing players. The squad hasn’t been enhanced in every area.

Bremer, Gatti, Kostic, Paredes, Pogba, Maria, Vlahovic, Locatelli

Thats 7-8 starters. Thats a crazy overhaul of the squad in a year.
Imagine if we have to do that next year too if all of these also flop and dont develop here. Then we are forced into similar scenario again and we will blame management for not getting better players.

Allegri: “Tomorrow's game is not the most important, it is the most difficult one. It will be a complicated match, and it will be important for us to get a result."
Allegri: “I still need to decide who will start tomorrow."
Allegri: “The club did a great job in the Mercato."
Allegri: “Paredes arrived with great enthusiasm, he increases the quality of our midfield."
Allegri: “Zakaria? There was this opportunity, he was feeling a bit at the margin and with great enthusiasm he accepted Chelsea. I wish him and Arthur the best of luck."
Allegri: “Di Maria is not 100 percent, but he is doing better. Rabiot will be out for tomorrow due to a knock taken on Wednesday."
Allegri: “At the beginning of the market we all had a goal together: to keep young players so they can play. You see Miretti, I'm glad Fagioli stayed, there are Gatti and Kean. Moise is calm and has been training well."
Allegri: “Szczesny? The recovery time we don't know, when you have such a strong sprain you evaluate from day to day."
Allegri: “Regrets for Dybala? No, when decisions are made... I'm happy for Paulo."
Allegri: “Dusan getting a rest? I will decide later on. We now have to think about giving continuity of results to find solidity in both offensive and defensive phases."
Allegri: “Bonucci is fine, he trained yesterday for the first time with the team, I will consider whether to let him play tomorrow or in Paris.”
Allegri: "I still insist that Milan & Inter are the favorites for the Scudetto, for us? We have Chiesa and Pogba out. Let’s concentrate on the games going forward, we’ll worry about the season at the end.”

He should be sacked if no scudetto this season.
Not winning it this season is bigger embarrassment than Del Neri era. Current Inter or Milan are nowhere near their level back in the days and surely this Juve is better than what Del Neri had. No excuses

I love that this forum is now 100% in support for the youngsters. Two years ago people were more cautious
