He was really pissed at the end of Spezia game.

Still a lot of work in front of him and the team. Almost 10 new players to settle in.

I also think he got almost every player he asked for, except probably SMS.

No excuses now.

Scudetto is the minimum we can ask for.
Koulibaly.

I’ll take ugly wins every time but I see no reason to celebrate tbh. We played Spezia; a team that at times resembled my local park team. A team with our budget should be running over oppositions like Spezia. There was a point in the 2nd half they could have scored and we know what happens once we concede and how we react, or not at all. Luckily it didn’t happen.

We might have started the season a little better but the same flaws are still there and the lack of a gameplan other than pass to wing, cross and hope for the best. I see no reason to feel even slightly hopeful, all I see is a team that will struggle for a 3rd/4th spot yet again. And that’s because current Serie A teams are worse than Badass’ sex appeal.

Lost my faith on Allegri turning things around, there’s only so many excuses one can take. You can keep fooling yourselves changes are coming but deep inside you all know what we’re getting for yet another season.

How about let’s wait until we actually see what this team looks like with Paredes, Chiesa, Pogba, and Di Maria all available before saying everyone else is fooling themselves in seeing reason for optimism.

Because people seeing some reason for optimism could say you are fooling yourself too in ignoring that we’re getting far better results this year and our squad would have capitulated and probably lost a couple of these matches last year. And that’s while missing Chiesa and Pogba entirely, and having Di Maria out for 2 of the matches, leaving us little in the way of creative players.

Possibly never and even if it happens, it definitely wont be for long
I guess we shall see. I was very much against the Pogba transfer because of years of underperformance and the last three years of constant injury, but I’m going to hope for the best now that we signed him. He was fantastic here before and may very well rediscover that form.

As for the others. None of them have been particularly injury prone players in the past, this was Chiesa’s first real injury. Last year was Paredes first time with any real injuries in like 7 years. And Di Maria has been quite the iron man throughout his career, so I’m not sure why I should worry about those players.

Anyways, the wild meltdown on this forum while we’ve started the season without losing yet is kind of silly. We’ll get a better idea of where we’re currently at against Viola.

This isn’t just about this season though. how many more seasons do we have to be “optimistic” everything will be fine once everybody is fully fit? Who guarantees Chiesa will find his form after being out for that long? Who guarantees Pogba, the tik tok footballer who hasn’t done shit in years, will do what he was brought back to do? Di Maria is the only one I kinda still believe can bring real improvements to the squad. And even if miraculously everybody is fit, how long until our butchers show their work?

So many variables with injuries, bad tactics and lack of gameplan has shown us we should be anything but optimistic. We’re still struggling against much weaker opposition and there’s no excuses, injuries or not, for that. I just don’t buy it anymore.
