We can integrate Bremer, Di Maria and even Pogba for all we like but this squad has way too many scrub players in it we won't even see a difference. You can have Di Maria creating a chance but as long as King Leo gives the ball away in our own 16 there's no point. We can hire Guardiola and still won't be champions. Danilo, Bonucci, Alex Sandro, McKennie, Rabiot and Zaharia are absolute lousy players.

That’s a big exaggeration. It’s important to continuously improve and upgrade the team. Just because you don’t have a prefect squad, it doesn’t mean that you should throw all your toys of the pram and let it all go to shit.

That's my take as well. Allegri is as risk-aversive as they come and his shadows eventually grow onto players. Pjanic wasn't a sidway passing midfielder when he came. I think he has a keen eye on talent and what that talent need to do to improve. It's just that in the end they regress because they all become "him". This is not an attempted criticism of Allegri. We all influence our surrounding and when you are in a position to actually influence your surrounding then all of you will be influencing your surrounding and not just some parts that you strive to influence with. Sandro was crazy the first year and it's such a shame to see him for the past years because he is a shadow of himself. You can see how great his technique is and everything but emphasis is put on the defensive side so... My criticism of Allegri is instead that he is most likely aware of this and doesn't see that he has a screwdriver but he is using it as a hammer. Why not use screws instead of nails? Why seek creative playmakers as your DMC if you actually only want a destroyer? That part I never understood with him. Would be cheaper to have a Zakaria type there than to take an expensive player and make him into a destroyer. And who is saying the DMC need to be part of the build up? Playmakers can drop deeper.... sorry, for the off topic rant. I wasn't meaning to attack the guy but ended up there anyway.
I like Allegri but it's a shame to see Sandro's regression based on his talent.
Thats simply not true. Pjanic didnt regress to sideways passing under Allegri. Not until we lost all midfield runners and our offense became static.

want to see the team improve in 3 aspects in the coming season:
1) the whole team, esp. forwards and mids, are on the same page in counter-attacking
2) being able to handle the gegenpressing with composure, less possession lost and more organized in the build-up phase
3) more goals from set pieces, Gatti and Bremer are both threat in attacking headers and Rovella is a good corner kick taker, make some tactics.

Those 3 aspects are to a large extent up to the coach I believe, do something Allegri.

To put things in to perspective: our fullbacks last season (Danilo - AS) had 2 assists COMBINED last season. Our midfield out of Locatelli (2 GA) - McKennie (3G) - Rabiot (2A) - Zakaria (2 GA) had a grand total out of 9 G+A over the course of an entire season ffs. I remember times when Arturo Vidal himself had 10 G+A.

10 G+A? Vidal for 2 seasons was well above 20, man was unstoppable, no one in our current squad can even dream to play as well as he did back then.

Our fullbacks don't cross half mate. How will they get assists.

Well this is exactly why we got Pogba and Di Maria. Besides we now have Vlahovic since day 1. Fully fit, our squad is pretty good. The big question is injuries, we are fucked if our top players get injured, so I’d still like a few reinforcements.

left side its too weak still.

i think defensivley we will be solid actually. bremer is agressive and likes to mark high up like chiellini. bonucci will benefit from a partner like that cuz he can play his deeper sweeper role with him. the question mark as usual is can the midfield string more than 3 passes together. and the key for that is locatelli, fagioli and pogba being starters.

It’s a modern myth that Italians won everything because they were lucky or by playing dirty. It’s an argument that the worldwide tiki taka fanboys invented and began spreading after the calciopoli fall of Italian football and the rise of Ronaldinho/Messi Barça.

All I know is that I fell in love with this club watching us play our old fashioned Italian football with bursts of creativity here and there depending on the coach. I remember we played some entertaining football under Conte and won national titles but we choked in Europe. Conte wasn’t tactically smart. Allegri on the other hand is. We just need to sign the right players and retain them. We are not a selling club or a stepping stone for any motherfucker. I don’t want to see the MDL type of business ever again.

And yeah Sandro had the best season of his career under Allegri. Whatever abomination he has become has nothing to do with the coach.

IDK this is starting to look less balanced as a 433 and more fitting as a 442 with Di Maria and Vlahovic up front. At least until we get the proper players back..

I don't know Zaharia (possibly some Malaysian hybrid player), but I can assure you Zakaria is quality, if deployed correctly. Daniolo and McNuggets are definitely solid, if unspectacular, additions to the squad. As for Sando and Fagiot, they are most definitely garbage. I am ambivalent as pertains to Bumucci, but I definitely don't want him to renew beyond his current deal.
