Yes, it can produce wins.
Ancelotti also keep to his structure last night. He didn't make panic move like change to 3CB and remove his attacker/midfielder like we did in Coppa Final.
It's key that he kept balance in midfield so it did not invite Liverpool move nearer to the goal

I dont think Real played like shit - They defended well and raised their tempo when needed - Tactically speaking they played a great game IMO.
If you refer to shots on goal - Yeah they didnt create much aside of 2 serious opportunities.
The first should have been a goal IMO as it came off Fabinho so Im not sure why it was disallowed.

They didn’t play well at all. Courtois having the game of his life saved them. But it doesn’t matter. They won and that’s all that matters.

Real just have an absolute domination over the CL, their record in CL finals is absolutely bizarre, they have an 82% win ratio and they have won their last 8 in a row. If we had a similar win rate we’d be on 7 titles… that’s fucking depressing
