Allegri:I would play it the same way, as the lads did well for 65 minutes. At a certain point, Villarreal put everyone in defence and only an incident could break that deadlock,” Allegri told Amazon Prime Italia.
"We have to accept this defeat, it’s ugly, but I cannot complain about the lads, as they played well.”
A proper manager would never throw his team under the bus to defend himself. I hate that at coaches

I'd gladly take a fluke that wins 3 consecutive CL titles over a savant who has overseen a 4-1 final capitulation, a 4-0 obliteration, and an utter 3-0 humiliation at home against a bunch of provincial fags from Spain.
We dont have Kroos and Modric though.

Zidane is not going to turn Rabiot and Arthur into prime Kroos/Modric

Zidane lost semis and lost league to Atletico. Carlo is 10p clear by march with same squad. Last season proved Zidane first era was somewhat of a fluke. Zidane magic didnt work.
Nonsense. Zidane had a ton of injuries last season; far more than Ancelotti has to deal with this year and Atletico were far better than they are now and they only lost the league on the last day of the season. The season before (19/20); they won the league largely down to Zidane’s pragmatism.

I know you like Kean but honestly take off the blinkers. He can play as long as he wants but he is not an improvement on Morata or Vlahovic, even when tired. Playing for PSG with Neymar, Mbappe, Di Maria and Verratti is very different.

You've hit the nail on the head with Berna he was playing well "before his injury". How many appearances has he had since? He looked very poor on his return in his last game.

Morata and Vlahovic are not irreplaceable but they are better than the options on the bench.

I actually did think to myself with each Villarreal sub that they were good moves. I was even thinking Moreno could get a goal.He got 30 goals last season and has a 12 in 20 record this season.
That is a bullshit excuse and bullshit steering of discussion to Kean again. Idgaf about him, it could have been fucking Chibozzo on the bench and I would've said the same.

What's the point of having subs at all then? Why was Kean or Berna on the bench at all? If they are there, they are fit and good to play.

And again: 1) this is a trend happening all season and 2) we had Sturaro making a difference in CL before, that is a bullshit excuse once again.

I don't blame Allegri alone for the elimination and nothing guarantees if he had made subs we would go through, I said my fair share about the players too, but I cannot accept going out on 'ah it's fine we didn't have anyone to make the difference anyways'. Not when it has been proven time and time again the small details and the unlikeliest of players can do it. Sturaro, Chicharito, Origi, Wijnaldum, Zalayeta, Lucas Moura etc etc. Too bad Allegri, Klopp, Lippi, Pochettino didn't think then 'ah it's fine I do not have anyone to sub on anyways'.

Evra:“It feels like Max Allegri is performing miracles with what he’s got, because there is no quality there, especially in midfield. In my day, we had Claudio Marchisio, Arturo Vidal, Andrea Pirlo. Now there’s Arthur… I don’t think he made a single pass that really changed play today. He doesn’t make the difference.”
You may change 10 coaches but current squad isnt good enough to play at higher level, at least with so many injured players.

We can blame it on the chef. Today, the pasta wasn't al dente, so it impacted the movements of Vlahovic, Morata and Cudarado in the 2nd half. Allegri didn't have his 3rd espresso and a tiramisu, so his decision making was a bit off. Let's fire the chef.

4 changed managers in 4 years all got the same result. It’s madness to do the same pattern again and expect different result it’s obvious that something else is the problem.
3 of those 4 years was due to creating an unbalanced team because we were paying out insane wages to Ronaldo while hoping he'd take us over the finish line.

He's gone now and we are building a young squad with a bright future IMO.

Allegri is staying so that’s a pointless discussion.

But he does deserve criticism for today. After we conceded the first, to take Locatelli out instead of moving him to regista and leave Arthur on for the full 90 was just bizarre. He was backpassing like we were 5-0 up all night, let alone trailing.

Villareal also had injuries and a much thinner bench. We can't make these excuses for ourselves and ignore the opposition - it goes both ways. We were playing at home and got destroyed. This is unacceptable and inexcusable. Everyone shares in the blame, including Allegri. We can't simply absolve him and excuse him, hand were tied BS - that's utter nonsense.

What miracle though? Juve just lost 3-0 and it's miracle?
and in Serie A still 4th place

Exactly. Whilst the throaters will blindly defend him and chat nonsense to deflect, he is part of the problem.

His style is such that we can’t enjoy the football unless we are winning. Therefore when we are not winning it’s a problem.

consdering the cost of the squad vs our competition, it’s not as simple as saying our players are the issue.
