You can't reason with Allegri fanboys. Any shred of valid criticism is met with a barrage of abuse and dismissal (sounds familiar?). Of course its unfair to dunk on the man every game for no reason, but not every criticism is unreasonable, regardless of whether it comes when we win or lose. You can still be unhappy with a performance even when we win. People used to attack the likes of Pirlo and Sarri irrespective of the outcome of the game (and rightly so), and no one had a problem with it. But because its Allegri, "our next Alex Ferguson", suddenly he's untouchable. And somehow some people think that this is a test of our love for the club. It has got nothing to do with "hating the identity of the club" and other strawman b.s. that some ppl here go as far as saying. It's about constructive criticism and challenging our current approach.
For example, one thing that truly amazes me is how content juve fans are in general, not just on here, in regards to this corto muso strategy. We were 3 mins from drawing to fricking Zenit and Torino. Go and get the second goal and put the game to bed, ffs. Its not that difficult. And then you wonder why he storms down the tunnel at full time when he plays such a risky game. This strategy will be exposed once we come up against much stronger sides.
Well yea, in a way you’re totally right. People would’ve criticized this win if we had Sarri or Pirlo as manager.
But everyone who’s defending Allegri knows that his ceiling is a lot higher than Sarri’s or Pirlo’s, so everyone keeps that in mind and nobody forgets the lack of organization we had in the past two years. Juventini usually start stressing a lot when the team give chances away like it’s nothing. We always tend to think starting from a solid organization.
What I personally like the most about Allegri is his capability to adapt to certain situations and he usually has his changes spot on. This wasn’t the case with Pirlo or Sarri. And we do defend better.
We’re dying for results and everyone is happy with every win we get, doesn’t matter of it are beautiful wins or not. This basically explains the corto muso theorie, where the winner is the winner without any context of playing good or not. While in football people do complain even tho they won.
So the real differences between being pro- or against Allegri Is just being grateful that we have a manager capable of brining the points home, while knowing that many other managers would struggle a lot with this team. I’ve learned that I was highly overrating this team during Allegri’s last season, where I also started to complain even when we won.
