@GordoDeCentral im not trolling, for every win i give credit to him and for dropping points i blame him. I think thats fair. Why does @Post Ironic have to be police thread whoever has different point of view is called “mental illness” i never offend anyone.

back in the topic high line defensive is the new good defense. So far it’s working for PEP.

If it was easy to play high defense line and press for 90 minutes, every team would have done it. I think its down to personell a manager has. He can ofc insist and be stubborn but Max has always been too smart of a manager and he knows how to setup a team and win.

We would get absolutely slaughtered if we did that.

Perhaps you should take a look at their league form since Tuchel took over. Don't see much point in judging them based on their performances under Lampard. This Chelsea is a different team now.
Last season they had exactly 2 ppg in EPL with Tuchel as manager, in a full season context thatd be a 78 point season.

Are we favorites against Chelsea? No. Are they the second coming of 2013 Bayern just because they won the CL? No. Are we heavy underdogs? I hope not, but lets see where we are on Wednesday, I'm excited to see us go against a proper opposition.

So only if a team wins the champions league they are proper opposition to Juve

You're extremely deluded if you think Juventus are not under dogs.
We are not favorites for sure, especially in this form. Under dogs is a heavy word, we are not Juve Stabia either.

Proper as in not the team that just lost 0:4 to Napoli or the team thats likely to get relegated this season. We have faced good teams this season like Milan and Napoli, Chelsea will be another good test, an even better one.

I think in the context of having our two starting forwards out, Morata and Dybala, and Chiesa dealing with a little issue over the past couple weeks, we are heavier underdogs than we would usually be.

Yes and that 78 points would have seen them comfortably finish in second place. I'm not claiming they are the second coming of 2013 Bayern, I'm simply pointing out that it's misleading to downplay them as a team for "barely scraping 4th place in EPL". They changed their coach and massively improved and are currently one of the best teams in Europe, hence they won the CL. We are certainly heavy underdogs for this game.

If we are heavy underdogs, what do you call Dynamo Kyiv vs Bayern? :D

I mean, City still managed to take 3 goals by Leipzig, so there is still hope!
But yes, a well done and totally concentrated high-line with great pressing, like City or Bayern play, seems to be the new meta…

He is? Just bc he doesn't like Allegri? Jesus. And when it's others who've been acting mental quoting him for having a diff opinion.

The answer is because Gordito's IQ oscillates between 83 and 87.

How's he's still a mod is beyond me. Guy has no clue what he's doing. Always confused and trigger happy. Some anguished weirdo prolly reported one of Snobist's posts and that done it.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri joked with reporters saying he has ‘confused ideas’ but named four players who will start against Chelsea tomorrow.

The Bianconeri host the Blues at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow. It kicks off at 20.00 UK time.

Juventus have collected two wins from six Serie A games and took all three points in their Champions League opener against Malmo.

“I have confused ideas,” Allegri said smiling when asked about the potential line-up.

“We had a good training session, apart from Ramsey everybody is available, tomorrow we have to do what Chiellini said.

“We need to play a very technical match, they are very solid, they’ve worked very hard, they are good in counter-attacks and set-pieces.

“We might concede goals, it could happen, we’ll have to start from the very beginning with a very good approach and play well on the pitch.”

Does he consider playing with a three-man defence tomorrow?

“That’s the first doubt that I still have, it’s not a matter of defence with three players, it depends on how the ball goes,” the Tuscan said.

“We have players with different qualities, we also have Kean, we’ll try to put two or three at the front, tomorrow morning I will decide the line-up.

“We must be balanced in our pressing and be able to play well, if, after five passes you give the ball to the opponent, you won’t be able to press the ball for 90 minutes.”

Can Juventus win the Champions League this season?

“It’s my ambition, it’s a desire that I have, when you play the Champions League you must have that motivation.

“Tomorrow we face the European champions, it will be an amazing night regardless of the result, it will be a great emotion, this will be what pushes you to do incredible things, if you qualify for the group stage it’s already a good objective, we want to win the final, we all have this desire, it’s our target and we want to be able to reach that target, same for the scudetto.

“It’s a matter of personal ambition especially in a great club, it’s impossible to win every year, but this is what we are looking for. The desire that we all need to have.”

The 54-year-old went on to discuss the performances of Federico Bernardeschi, Adrien Rabiot, Federico Chiesa and Moise Kean who is tipped to start against the Blues tomorrow.

“Bernardeschi has great potential, that hasn’t been fully expressed yet. He played a very good match against Samp, but he’s always played well.

“Everything depends on the mentality and the determination especially when you have the ball.

“Rabiot is available,e his ankle is fine, so he’ll be available. Adrien is similar to Bernardeschi. If a big club like Juve chose these players there is a reason, the mentality makes the difference.

“They must be very determined in attending the training sessions, scoring, defending, these elements make the difference. How many good technical players haven’t been able to explode in their careers? If I was Rabiot I’d be very angry with myself, how many goals has he scored in two years here? Ten? It’s not acceptable, if I were him, I’d be very upset.

“He needs to improve all these things to get really better and I am sure he’ll be able to do it this year.”

During his press conference before the match with Sampdoria, Allegri promised he’d name three starters for the game against Chelsea and he kept his word.

“Szczesny, Locatelli, Alex Sandro and Danilo.

“Tomorrow I want to see a good match from a technical point of view, we must be very patient and enjoy playing these kinds of matches,” he continued.”

“At the same time, we must be able to play an international match. If you make any mistake they’ll punish us. They punish us also here in Italy, tomorrow it will be even more. We’ll have to play very well.”

Arthur has returned to training today after sustaining surgery in the summer, but he is still not ready to play.

“Arthur is still behind, he has undergone physical tests and now, during the break, we’ll play two friendly matches to give him the opportunity to reach his best.”

Will Locatelli start with Bentancur in the middle of the park?

“My opinion of Bentancur is that he’s grown a lot,” said Allegri.

“He had the possibility to score a goal last Sunday, but alone, this is my opinion, he can’t be a playmaker, he needs the collaboration from another player. The important thing is to reach 100 per cent.

“Kean shouldn’t be given any extra responsibility, he can play and score goals, he kicks very well, he attacks very well he needs to improve when he has to play with the rest of the team and the ball controls, his individual technique, but considering his young age, he has already a lot of experience.

“As for Chiesa, I expect what he’s been doing so far, even better than that. I think he’s done a really good job. He scored crucial goals at the Euros and this put him in a condition where he is not the young player anymore, the margin for mistake is getting narrow, for him this year it’s going to be more challenging than last year.”

What’s the difference between Italian and English football?

“I don’t know if the Premier League is the most beautiful league, there is a different atmosphere and different football culture.

“I’ve never been a coach there, but I see people going to the stadium to see the show and support the players, in Italy there is a different culture, in Spain and Germany there are other cultures.

“Then, they have different economic resources, but this is a fact. In Italy we have an advantage. Somehow here in Italy we are smart enough to find solutions and fix things. This is part of the Italian DNA. We are Italy and that’s what we are like it or not. Of course, there is always room for improvement. Probably we are closer to the Germans, but we are different from the English.”

It is easy to blame the coach, and it became the norm while pirlo was in charge. But some of these players are so mentally fucked after sarri and pirlo that they still suffer today and allegri isn't a miracle worker to make it all work in a couple of months.

Woj's blunders aside, the goals we concede are amateurish. Professional footballers earning the money they do learn the basics at a young age, they don't need allegri to tell them, "guys, Mark your man at set pieces, make sure you don't let players roam free in the box, etc.."..whilst allegri is responsible for team organisation, I think we can agree that players need to use their fucking brains at times...and let's face it, some of the players we have are fucking dumb.
