We've got 4 guys who can play CF so I'm not sure I agree with that sentiment. Obviously none of them directly replace Ronaldo, it's an impossible task technically and financially, but there is a group of attacking players there who need to score 80 goals. Ronaldo might get 30 but you still need the others from the rest of the team. That's why Allegri speaks about McKennie getting 10, Chiesa being a striker, and so on.

Dybala 20
Morata 12
Kean 12
Chiesa 10
McKennie 8
Kulusevski 8
Cuadrado 6
Locatelli 4
Rest 8

This is the ideal scenario, however it can change due to injury. Others might be forced to contribute more. What worries me is how much we will need from Dybala. But now Ronaldo is gone we have half a chance from free kicks, Dybala should score 4 or 5 from them alone.
Our defence (CBs and FBs without counting Quads) contribute 8-12 goals a season in the league (apart from last year where we got only 6 from them). It's the lack of meaningful numbers from Rabiot, Bentancur and company that is going to be a concern for us.

the attack is one concern obviously, but the emphasis should be on the defense first. we've had a sub par defensive record by juve standards since allegri left. i'm cautiously optimistic about locatelli's impact, not sure about the others, including mids and defenders. we need to get the defense working, that would give plenty of confidence going forward. we don't need to score 80+ goals, but we absolutely need a functioning defense with regular clean sheets. now we have an 18 (or 16, not sure, embarrassing either way) match streak without clean sheets, which should be some kind of record. and with de ligt and szczesny in depressing form, bonucci-chiellini rarely playing together, bentancur regularly sleepwalking in front of his own goal but still starting, it's gonna be quite an uphill climb.

That is really worrying if our midfielders is just not score low number of goals but also low number of assists. It's just like there is any performance review in our club (Bentancur, Rabiot, Ramsey, Berna, Arthur). We can find someone who has those 5 combined goals and assists in another club

Issue that need to be solve
- Top class GK instead of Woj
- Ageing defense (Chiellini, Bonucci, Alex Sandro, Cuadrado)
- Worthless midfield (post above)
- No left winger
- Unproven central forward

Allegri expected that the spot left by Ronaldo would be filled by a pure center forward: an Icardi, or even one in the style of Giroud and Dzeko.
Instead, Kean has arrived, not a man of the area either, who does not excite him for many reasons: he coached him at the start of his career and he's also worried about his character. But Allegri also has regrets about Pjanic, who he had asked for from the start and even courted with some calls, and about Icardi.(Corriere)

If Ronaldo had left in July, Cherubini would have made an attempt for Vlahovic. But the answer of Commisso, would have been "No, thanks". It’s not certain that Vlahovic will renew his current contract (2023). Juve are already ready for an investment of (60/70mln).(tuttosport)

There was difference of opinion between the management and allegri as Allegri wanted a forward and midfielder but the management wanted to save funds for next season to sign a good young centre forward or midfielder.(Tuttomercatoweb)

Thats pure BS. Why would Allegri say out openly that he thinks Kean is shit and problematic. What a way to welcome a new key signing if that is true.

And all this talk about Vlahovic. Why would we waste 60M on another striker who is not even a certain upgrade over the ones we already have, based on 21goals in a single season.
That would be such a ridiculous transfer, given that we have other problems to fix first, before doing a random bet that could improve our attack marginally.

Exactly.
If we can get our defense sorted, we'll be fine.
If not, well then, euhm, :vdp:

So allegri is pissed at the management despite wanting paratici gone to make way for cherubini who he supposedly had a good understanding with

We still have the best squad in Serie A. I expect Scudetto, anything less is a failure.
I was thinking about it, yesterday, no way we have best squad currently, look at this:
GK
Inter Handa
Juve Szczesny
Milan Maignan
Napoli Meret
Atalanta Musso
Roma Rui Patricio
Lazio Strakosha

RB
Inter Dumfries
Juve Danilo
Milan Calabria
Napoli Di Lorenzo
Atalanta Maehle
Roma Karsdorp
Lazio Hysaj

CB
Inter Bastoni/de Vrij/Skriniar
Juve De Ligt/Bonu
Milan Kjaer/Tomori
Napoli Manolas/Koulibaly
Atalanta Djimsiti/Toloi/Demiral
Roma Smalling/Kumbulla
Lazio Acerbi/Felipe

LB
Inter Dimarco
Juve Alex Sandro
Milan Theo
Napoli Mario Rui
Atalanta Gosens
Roma Vina
Lazio Kamenovic

CM
Inter Barella/Brozovic/Calhanoglu
Juve Locatelli/Rabiot/Bentancur
Milan Bennacer/Kessie/Diaz
Napoli Ruiz/Zielinski/Anguissa
Atalanta Koopmeiners/Freuler/Malinovskyi
Roma Veretout/Zaniolo/Pellegrini
Lazio SMS/LuisAlberto/Leiva

Attack
Inter Dzeko/Martinez/Correa
Juve Chiesa/Dybala/Cuads
Milan Giroud/Ibra/Leao/Rebic
Napoli Osimhen/Insigne/Lozano
Atalanta Zapata/Muriel/Ilicic
Roma Abraham/Shomurodov
Lazio Immobile/Anderson/Pedro

Inter has better defense and mid, with comparable attack. they are probably the best team atm.

Them Allegri 1-0 wins might mean we won't need 80 after all.

Agree, he got his say in our transfer mercato so there are no excuses that this is an average squad because his handprint in it to build this squad that will fit his style and playing a great gameplan. Our direct competitor are losing their top players too, the crucial part of their team

I hope he can turn around our underperform start and go for his winning ways. So winning the scudetto must be our target this season as we known that he can deliver it with ease for 5 times before with high colours using what given to him. It must be a better circumstances for him, if he eventually got say on our transfer mercato this time
Agreed. People close to Ronaldo told me selling him was Max's idea. He tried to negotiate with Cherubini dropping his salary to 0 and even agreeing to pay Ramsey and Rabiot's wages but Cheubini told him that he has to convince Max. When Max refused his multiple requests for meeting he sent Georgina to :gsol: convince:gsol: him but when she rang the doorbell De Sciglio and Rugani opened the door wearing robes, and told her Max is asleep. They both knew at that moment that the resistance is futile.

no matter if Allegri is unhappy or not, I also see that we could have used typical and season CF and Pjanic in this team. The question always is at what cost it could happen. Taking Icardi on 10m net wages and Pjanic on 8.5m net would be so stupid, with out even mentioning we dont really have room in the squad for them. Pretty sure though Allegri will adjust to the team he has.

Btw if we lack something in attack I would go and sign Ribery on a free transfer - the way he played for Fiorentina he still earns u 10 points a season easily from that left wing.
