La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Allegri has already talked to Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, who will sign a one-year contract extension, going into the last season of his playing career.

According to the report, Allegri trusts Wojciech Szczesny, and for this reason, talks to sign Gigio Donnarumma have been put on hold.

Allegri would like to bring Miralem Pjanic back to the club.

Back in the days when we used to buy Italians I did not mind one bit. But back then Italian players were quite great and they achieved big things. However, sticking to that strategy makes zero sense whatsoever if Italian players, or generation(s), aren't talented and good enough. Buying Italians for the sake of it is pure nonsense. We used to see an amazing season from our squad not so long ago and we had, what, three Italian players. I don't care if they are Italians, I want good results.

Last generations of Italian players were quite bad and we rightfully so chased foreign players. Donnarumma (who I would not buy, yes), Barella, Chiesa are worth chasing. I'm not still not fully bought on Locatelli, though. As for others, I think it'd be good to have Kean here. But I can't say Italian market looks like a great potential. Bigger talents are popping up from both England and France. Possibly Spain too.

Italian NT is filled with mediocrity like Immobile, Belotti, Sensi, Florenzi, Cristante, Biraghi and others. Those that are better than these mentioned are better only by an inch and aren't even worth chasing.

Allegri’s assistant manager Marco Landucci & technical collaborator Aldo Dolcetti have arrived at the Continassa. During the day, there will be the market meeting between the Allegri & Cherubini.Allegri to give his opnion on Donarrumma and Locatelli (Sky)

Imo Verratti is the only Italian we should be trying to get.

The other one I'd consider buying is Chiesa, but we already have him.

I'd love if Inter crashes and we buy Barella. But yes, it's only Verratti that stands out and shows WC performances. Others? Meh. Maybe some players but for bench option or some kind of rotation where they get 1500 minutes per season at most.

So yeah, for that same reason, I don't think we should commit on signing Italian players just because it's :gsol: Juve tradition :gsol:

bastoni, barella, lorenzo pellegrini, verratti, locatelli, spina, castrovilli, mandragora, lovato, kean, cragno, raspadori, donnarumma

i'd be fine with any of these honestly, either as a starter or a squad player. some of them are impossible to get, or too expensive for what they offer, still, these could be useful players.
