Yes, we were underdogs. But I wasn’t happy with how we played in those finals at all.
I wasnt happy how we started 2015 final. We looked a bit scared, especially after conceding early on. In the 2nd half we played on par with Barcelona. But you have take into account that Barca's players had more experience playing finals and reaching later stages of the CL, while this was our first final after 2003. Also, our Italian players were often on the losing end when they met Spain, which were Barca's core, so even before the kick off, psychologically we were behind. Not to forget no one actually expected Juve to reach the final in the 1st place, especially after drawing Real in the semis.

2017 final, meltdown during the half time, before that we were ok. 2nd half you could notice players' minds were elsewhere.

3rd time's a charm? :)

We missed Chiellini also in 2015

Maybe if we run into a team like PSG or Chelsea in the final next time we have more luck. It's hard to eliminate both Barca and Real in the same season, during the Ronaldo and Messi era. We have run into both teams both times. Real lost only to us in a 4 year span, when they were missing half their midfield. Barca lost only to us and Atletico in the MSN era. Those teams were a tier above the rest those years

We need both ofc, but if we have to choose (and we shouldn't ofc) a deep playmaker is much more needed.

McKennie-Locatelli-Rabiot is a better midfield than McKennie-Bentancur-De Paul
Idk at least the second team would have some creativity in final third through De Paul (or Aouar or whoever would come) while with first we would get better distribution from the back, however that doesnt matter that much when we play against deep defenses 9/10 times.
