winning ugly > losing in style
That's the most important part. Everything else doesn't make any significant difference tbh, because so called "ugly wins" are also kind of beautiful - they usually give you much more emotions compared to confident "beautiful wins" like 4:0, of which you get bored very quickly if that is what you see every weekend.

For me:

1. Dortmund - Juventus 0-3
- I watched that game maybe 15 times since then. It was so significant for me because that was our first really big game and a great result in Europe in this new era. It showed we were back.

2. Both legs vs RM in 2015
- First big team knocked out, I was so sure we were gonna win the final after that. :(

3. Juventus - Torino 2-1 in 2015/16
- Idk where we would be if we didn't win that game in that fashion. I truly believe it turned our season around, it started that huge run and after that beating Napoli at home was just a formality.

4. Juventus - Barcelona 3-0
- It came after Barca overturned PSG at home and I thought that game was going to be their Torino and they'll win the CL in easy fashion. We truly outclassed them in that game. I also thought Dybala would become a superstar after that :(

5. Juventus - Atletico 3-0
- I was absolutely sure this was our year after that game. I thought everyone found new self-belief, we were gonna rally and cruise to the final. I was so nervous before and on such a high after this game that everything that happened after makes it the most disappointing season/period in these 5 years, even more than the lost finals. We won't have a better opportunity to win the CL than we had this year. Fuck

I agree with Rus though about Capello. Capello’s teams had more potential to succeed in CL, but he Made choices. He drained the team for a hardfought serie a win.
That team looked dull in europe in the knock-outs, but he built a fortress. Sadly well never know what foundations he laid.
Dont forget the team he took over from Lippi was a mess as well to be honest.
I don’t even get your reasoning here. Had more potential? Lol. That’s a statement hard to argue. The fact is that Allegri got us two CL finals in a period where this team wasn’t even considered a top 5 team in the world.

Fortess? Under Allgeri this team has been a fortress in Serie A.
