Allegri to SKY : “Do you watch basketball? You have the ball & you have 3 seconds, so who do you give the ball to? The most talented player.

You think formations win in football. Let’s pay for tactics then and say Messi, Cr7 & Higuaín are worthless."

"You think tackling, passing & running wins in football. Footballing discussions in Italy is all about tactics and theory, you’re ruining the game. You don’t look at players or skills, but only formations. This is what damages our football."

"Football is simple. As the season progresses, you can't implement what you had planned for, in June. You (media) don't know anything about the practicality of football. I have won 6 Scudetti."

Didn't Allegri make the same argument last year after winning against inter

- - - Updated - - -

Allegri responded: 'When I was at Milan, I often got criticized for using three defensive midfielders but I then won a league title. Stop talking Adani, you never coached a football team...'. Allegri then left the interview furious....

I'm more optimistic than that. I believe the internet just brings the worst out of some people, I refuse to believe they are like this in real life.
True. I mean, going by some Tuz members posting history you would think suicide or a murder spree would have happened long ago over how angry and depressed they get about our pussy coward tactics and manager. I suppose it’s all just an act.

Ugh, sensitive and angry? I never start first with insults. I am always happy. Only Juve, Allegri and people like Fart Moronic make me sad :D

I'll promise to buy Allegri a Pep mask for next season, that'll fix the first two. With Post Ironic you just have to kiss and make up.

Max popped off on that pundit :lol:
It’s funny, he’s 100% right in what he says (that in Italy they are too obsessed with tactics instead of skills and individual brilliance) but he hasn’t really practiced what he preached this season. Max has over-thought situations and worried too much about defending leads instead of taking the front foot in too many games this season.

It’s clear he is staying next season and onwards - that’s fine. But I hope we give him the midfield we desperately need, a centre-back or two, and we see a more proactive attitude especially in CL games. Fortune generally favours the brave.

Tbh, it seems they have gotten to Max. The pundits, the pressure; he seems more pissed now.

Have we been playing attractive football? Absolutely not.

Is it effective? Yes, at least in Serie A.

Do we need to do better moving forward? Absolutely.

Have injuries been unkind to us? Most definitely.

Who is to blame for those injuries? Allegri surely has to be somewhat responsible?! Again, this is also partially true.

What about our negative approach to games and overall abysmal quality of football? Again, we can't fault Max for this. It's a combination of tactics, injuries, and personnel.

Solution? Season is over, so what happens in the next 4-5 games is irrelevant, but it could be a good time to experiment and set the plan in motion for next season. Additionally, we need to give Max, if he's staying that is, the right players moving forward. The midfield is an issue, a glaring weakness that needs to be addressed; that shit can't be put on the back-burner anymore, so give Max 2-3 top quality players and let's see what happens by the end of the 2019-2020 season.

Sounds like a man under pressure even if he said the same things last year

I think this is a fundamental issue with how our play has developed
Pass it to a player and hope he does something

"You have great players, but you do not know how to play them," Adani told Allegri"

allegri: When I'm talking, it's better to close your mouth. I've got scudetto Who are you ...

allegri left the microphone after that, and went

Good on Allegri. He’s right in what he says, these pundits are full of preaching and think they have the answer but they’re only their to fill air time. If someone with any credibility was talking to Allegri like Sacchi or Vialli I’m sure he would have listened.

Reality is Allegri has won more this season than Adani ever will in his life - I don’t even know who he is so he must be beyond irrelevant.

Nice to see him go off on someone like that, the passion still burns! He’ll get this right. A couple of signings in the summer and the recovery of Costa, Dybala & Mandzukic will make a huge different.

Looking forward to Ramsey giving us something different in the middle
