No more italian pragmatic coaches

That old italian defensive mentality needs to die out

Sarri and Acelotti are the only itsalan coaches I would be happy with

Still unsure of Inzaghi and would like to see him manage for a few more years before he took the Juve job
not really saying that we should get Inzaghi in particular..
i am fine with any new coach.. we are winning Serie A anyway.

since we are not getting the squad needed to win in Europe.. I prefer that we hire a new coach than keeping Allegri and seeing his tactics and same mistakes everytime.
i still cannot understand his obsession with late subs. we needed subs at 55 min in this match and the final.
it was inevitable that Real destroy us in the second half.
but again.. lets wait a few more minutes.

I think you guys are being harsh on Allegri. Juventus have beaten so many good teams in the CL under him. This team is simply lacking world class talent. Give Allegri better players.

Strangely enough, I’m nowhere near as angry at him as I was after the Tottenham home game.

The interplay between the defenders and midfielders was much better than I expected. We also didn’t run out of breathe after 30 minutes like we often do in these big games.

Yes, the score was already 0-2 before Dybala got sent off, but that was partially because of individual mistakes from our defence, and partially because of how lethal Ronaldo is.

With that being said, I think that Allegri has reached his ceiling here. I don’t think he can take us any further. We need a coach with fresh ideas and a more modern philosophy.

better players are not going to happen.
hire a new coach, maybe he will pull something
maybe a smaller coach.. lets save wages.. we are winning serie a anyway

But aren't you afraid it will back fire? Teams like us are only ever 1 or 2 years of being medicore.

We cannot afford Conte like campaigns. Beppe needs to sign better players.

I agree. We played well in the first 60 minutes.

That is what makes this result so frustrating.
Not on Max at all imo.

We didn't play as bad as the scoreline suggests.
we did not play well.. real barely tried after their early goal, they knew they will score again and then destroy us cause of the weak mentality in particular of the experienced player.

basically we are off cause of the lack of attacking plans.

Can’t blame this guy at all. He took us to two finals, I’m forever grateful. But I think his era is over.

Marchisio is done mate just forget it.

And Matuidi has been off form lately.

Both Bentancur and Sami were among our better players so you can hardly criticise his choice.
Bentancur made a huge mistake on that joke of a attempt to block iscos cross and how costly it was to concede that early.
Those are the type of moments that will not see him included in better performers group even if he got the basics right for the rest of the game. Same goes for chiellini.

I dont think any other coach can get more out of this squad in terms of result. Any improvements that we can have will purely be aesthetic.

I am perfectly happy if he stays though he guarantees results. Maybe a lesser coach would have lost the league to this Napoli.

Still wondering his picks today. Adds aside from Pjanic and Benatia suspended he basically had a full strength team today for the first time all season...and he opts for a BRAND NEW formation.

Why?

Why? Coz that full strength line up got smashed by madrid last year with bonucci and alves still on the team. seriously, i find it very hard to put any blame on allegri. Also i don't see any upgrades out there as far as replacements are concerned. We need to spend without settling our best players not change coaches.

He put the most attack minded team out there that he could without giving up too much defensively. Costa, Higuain, Dybala, and Sandro up front is as dynamic as we have without putting Cuadrado in the game. He knew he couldn't sit back and absorb what Real were going to bring to the table. He probably felt that he had to attack as much as possible against them.

It's one thing if he decided to field a very defensive minded formation and they still got beaten as badly as they did. But he didn't.

And let's not discount the absences of Pjanic and Benatia either. We all saw what Barzagli did out there today.

He can't stop individual mistakes, his tactics were fine imo, best coach we can get atm, cant think of any that would do what he did with these resources. We can't expect other world class coaches without providing them world class resources. Would love for Max to stay. Sure we can gamble with coaches like Inzaghi but would he get more out of the squad than max? hard to tell. Anyway, id rather preform Autofellatio then have Sarri here, no doubt in my mind that he would flop.

:agree:

Beppe had a poor summer, but ultimately we need to start spending more, buying top players without selling ours. The board needs to loosen the purse strings. Unfortunately I doubt it happens.

He played 2 man midfield again. And Khedira-Benta is weaker than Pjanic-Khedira.

What was the point of signing Matuidi. We needed more physical mid to beat Real no? Should have gone 100% out for Nzonzi then. If Matuidi isnt good enough to start these games.

Why play Sandro as LW when it isnt his natural position.
Barzagli hasnt been deemed good enough to start as CB most season with couple of RB starts which already showed in speed lackness etc. Its time to be more bold and play Rugani now CB. Barza is past it for these type of games. This isnt a serie a game against Sassuolos or Udineses. The same defense with Bonucci already suffered defeat.

Max needs to become a more modern coach or he runs the risk of becoming a dinosaur like Wenger.

He has a habit of dropping deep defensively and parking the bus after taking the lead against almost any decent opponent. We do this even against teams like Atalanta.

If he doesn’t adapt his game, then he will be left behind by football like almost every other stubborn Italian coach.
