As paradoxically as this sounds it is true. As the revenue gap increases, it will be increasingly harder to compete and so increasingly harder to win the CL again.

Was it good enough for Inter's future that they won the CL? It wasn't. They will probably never win one again.

Compare it to Barca's rise. Won it with style, made shit loads of money out of dinho. Had enough money to win it again in style and keep Madrid's free spending at bay. Then did it again and again. No way they would have become a financial powerhouse like that, had they been playing our ugly football.


Plus, we are not winning the CL. We are getting close then losing. Again its better to do that in style than with ugly football. We'd probably be more feared and raise more revs from finishing in Semis instead of the final had we been playing with style.

Allegri is undoubtetly one of the best to have coached us, and he's one of the best in the world. He deserves more support from the management, I want him to have a stronger influence on our mercatos and to be in here for a long time. Its not happening my friend. Dybala and previously pogba are our best bet but you need the team to play to their strengths to get something out of them.

If you want to pretend that goals like that or beautiful goals or aesthetically pleasing play at all have been our normal for the last 2 years then I dont know what to say. You and I both know we have good results but not good style. I dont see a point in denying it. I think when more than half the largest English speaking forum of the club are saying the football is ugly then that is indicative of something. The fan base on this very forum are dissatisfied. Call it spoiled or low loyalty or whatever this is the fanbase now and if the type of fans that watch almost every game and spend hours on forums talking about the club are getting disengaged out of boredom then that says something.

The world has changed. Back in the day, I only had access to Serie A on cable TV. Almost the entire middle east had nothing to watch but Serie A. Today for free I can stream any match in world football that I want. If you are not entertaining to watch, young people and new fans have a host of options to choose from. I almost always stream 2 matches at once because of how boring the matches are. If I was new to football or a kid now, the chances I'd be a Juve fan that watches every game would have been close to zero.

Allegri cares little for that. He is not interested in a style of play, in the philosophised construction of beautiful football, but rather in developing intelligent footballers who think for themselves.

Tactical schemes are indeed taught, and the aim of the game is to have a side that can morph into various different shapes in order to achieve the best possible outcome. But Juventus are rarely beautiful. They are a team who work in the moment, knowing how to hinder the opponent from playing as well as exploiting their own opportunities to score.
