But you know,
In the first allegri season, specifically the 2nd half (when he was forced to abandon the 352 because of inminent CL elimination), we played good football. It was very juve. Not tikitaka, we played defensively but countered a lot with tebez and morata, and our midfield was solid. I really enjoyed that half season. I think we played our best.

After that, we have been gradually playing worst until now. We had a glimmer of good form when we changed to 4231, but it didnt lasted long.

Now we are, well, not playing to our standards. We can give more
Pirlo, Pogba, Vidal and prime Marchisio was arguably best in the world.

That's the big difference. We even played pretty football last year just by sometimes having that cunt Dani Alves on the field. The players make the biggest difference.

Yeh dani alves helped a lot that formation.

And yes that midfield i was talking about was the one who carried us in that jhalf season, when we played all those players mentioned. Good times.

And btw, it wasnt the best attacking midfield even with those names, but they were compact as hell and had technique enuff to play against anyone not named barcelona

Pirlo's passing over defenses and Pogba's rockets were very enjoyable I agree.

Here is the hilarity... Half of this forum said we don't play attractive/attacking because we don't have the money and madrid's squad..

Basically saying we are the underdog

So how come, tottenham who are relatively poorer than us came to torino, got almost 70% possession there and got themselves a nice result on an away game?

I mean if you show the match to anyone who doesn't understand football they would think we are a real mediocre team and tottenham is the better team.

Right?

What's the next excuse huh?

Tottenham has clearly had a lot of success over the last 6 years with their attacking style, in contrast to us who have achieved nothing at all because of our terrible, pragmatic, defensive play. :baus:

I mean, who could have imagined the league they play in was won by Leicester City and Chelsea the last two seasons, two teams with defensive-minded Italian coaches. And Chelsea under Mourinho the year before that, another defensive-minded coach. :baus:

Pep and his amazing City had to spend 530 million on players over the last two years to catch up. :seven:

I just don’t bother with it, or take it seriously anymore.

Plenty of our so called “fans” are truly unaware that we are in a golden age of this club at the moment, an age that could come to an end at any time. There is no guarantee of our success in Italy or in Europe, yet our fans seem to take this team for granted or even enjoy our victories. Truly spoilt. They all deserve the Secco/Cobolli Gigi days again.
:agree:

Here's the hilarity... Napoleonic is going to point to one match, ignore all of the context surrounding the team, as well as all of the arguments being made by both sides, and then he's going to pretend that he's actually made a point that means anything at all.

Right?

Also, if you're talking about money, and who's richer and poorer in terms of being a "valuable franchise", here's a 2017 article that might be useful. Check out numbers 9 and 10. It's not as though Tottenham has no spending power.

All poorer teams

How many times have we surrendered possessions and hunkered down during matches this season already???

And ohhhh, the championships they've won recently. Nice change of direction there, champ.

Useless comment is useless, Nappy.

You keep whining about the style of a decimated, imbalanced squad -- that will once again be in first place if we win our game in hand. Enjoy.

@napoleonic

He kind of has a point, a team like Tottenham should not come to our ground and make us look some relegation fodder team for 70 minutes

Some of you are satisfied to play like that and embarrass ourselves but that is not the Juventus I grew up watching

This is called a straw man (look it up). Even the biggest of Allegri fanboys suck @Post Ironic were unhappy with our performance against Spurs.
