This was more on Bayern than on Pep though, Bayern wanted fancy football. Winning alone wasn't good enough anymore. That's why they brought in Pep.

They should have just gone after a more conservative coach, continuing with Don Jupps style of football.

As for Pep himself, there's no denying he can elevate teams with unlimited resources. Although this seems easy, plenty have struggled and failed miserably yet Pep is definitely at ease managing several star players and getting them to adapt to his own ideas.

But the problem is, at a club like Juventus where he's just as likely to lose a key player as he is to gain one, what would he achieve? Not much outside of the league imo.

The thing is, that besides his obvious abilities as a coach, he would elevate us from an image perspective making it far more likely that players would see Juve as an end destination and not a final steppingstone.

Bayern's playstyle wasn't sustainable in the long run.

I never seen a team do so much running and be so hungry to beat their opponents no matter what.

I think the drive from losing the final the year before to Chelsea is what made them so good, if they had of won it the season before they probably would not have played with such ruthlessness in that 2013 season

Well they dominated Chelsea all game and even had a penalty to seal the game in ET and ended up losing to the worst champions on penalties

They had a point to prove and were desperate for the CL.

Juve are not desperate for the CL you can see by the way the management talk up CL finals like it counts as a trophy and it "is the most we can do" never mind winning the competition

Also he hasn't even won anything at Man City just yet anyway, at the moment he's just in good form. I reckon once they lose their first game they'll start to decline.

I think his style is not suited for Bayern and personally I wouldnt want him. Serie A and BL r totally different and I want a coach who plays very intense with high pressing. I rate Nagelsmann highly and Tuchel is on a silver plate too, so no need to look abroad..time for a German coach again.

You're free to say what you want, but it's a Juventus forum after all, so it's only natural to expect vitriol and banter towards other teams. Of course, you can call him out on his BS, but he's likely to respond (especially if he's trolling).

Also, suggesting or implying that Allegri isn't good enough for Bayern while mentioning names like Tuchel and Nagelsman is a bit ridiculous don't you think? Why do you feel the need to be defensive and aggressive? I'm not confronting you or disagreeing with you. I'm just enlightening you on the realities of Tuz. Even Juventus fans have a hard time dealing with all the trolls and mighty keyboard warriors. I don't need to deal with anything that I feel uncomfortable with.

In any case, I feel Allegri is a great coach and he fits the profile for us, for now. We don't need to escalate this any further as it will result in a thread ban.
