Chiellini is trustworthy and id say rugani is close to it as well.

Everyone, even bonucci, makes mistakes.

Problem is IMO is the communication at the back. We are back to ground zero in contes first season. Needs to re-gel and gain solidity
chiellini really? he is the least composed defender we have, a total bonehead. Rugani hasn't proven anything at least not on the big stage

If i had to pick 1 defender i always want to start in big games - easy decision, it'd be Chiello.
No other defender we have is able to mark a worldclass striker out of the game like Chiello can.

Yeah, he has perfect excuses for the $#@!show against Barca. Let us see what will be his excuses for the bore fest in the upcoming clash against Olympiacos. What is the coefficient for a win with more than 2 goals for Juve? Probably 1 billion....It is not like we have the all time goalscorer of Seria A, one of the best talents in world football, another one of the Italian football and two of the fastest and most skillful players in Europe, and some Balkan magician as playmaker. Yeah, not at all...

Average goals per game in the CL in 2016/17

People talk so much about our defense, but we should really focus more on the other side of the pitch. Our attack is absolutely dreadful compared to other big teams in Europe.

In games like against Real Madrid, it's expected to concede. No defense keeps them out. In that scenario, we need a devastating attack that can score 3 or 4 goals against them in return.

Allegri needs to rely less on individual moments and have a clear and cohesive attacking plan. We will never win the CL until he learns how to do that.

But we did not concede goal for more than 600 minutes last year in CL. :juventus:

Our record in Europe is crap, was so before calciopoli too. This man gets us to two CL finals in 3 years, beats some of the best opposition in the world all while having to constantly change up team as management repeatedly replaces some of his best players while not missing a beat in serie a or coppa italia. But read this thread and youd never guess, youd think hes the wrong guy to lead us in europe, has a pussy mentality, cant create a cohesive attacking plan.

We dont deserve euromaxx, he is a blessing of which tuz is not worthy and wont be properly appreciated until he leaves and a few matches into next the same people will be crying for him back and blasting mgmt for replacing him.

As far as we can see, its only pav saying these ungrateful comments about euro max. I used to be displeased/not a fan from the get go (big time, as you can read in this thread), but he has more then proven himself by now. His work in europe has been immense, a coach can only do so much, and his consistently has taken us to 2 CL finals and a very narrow freak choke job loss vs Bayern in the other year (just couple minutes left til finito before Evra happend). Thats amazing pedigree for a single coach to have in CL. The rest is up to the players to finish off, or the management that keeps hampering our overall strength by rarely adding more quality without weakening elsewhere. No other top club or top coach has had to put up with policy like that. And he still keeps on taking us almost all the way regardless. Mad props.

IMO the worst thing that can happen to us next summer is Allegri not staying on.

Maybe if we had a striker who could score vs the elites.........

Without a doubt. He is far more important to our success than any individual player.

Unfortunately I doubt he will be around much longer. I have a feeling he will tire of being here and want to try his hand at another big club in a foreign league.

One reason I feel he might stay is that I think its obvious the grass is not always greener. He is Italian and at Juventus with a fantastic team. Many of the jobs he could get would involve total rebuilds. Also, the club appears to be willing to go after his transfer targets and follow his plans. We sold Bonucci when he fought with Allegri, kept Cuadrado, brought in Costa, signed Mandzukic.. all of those things were Allegri's objectives.

Allegri is an amazing coach who I hope stays here for many years

Exactly, and it was the defence that got us in the CL final last year. We've lost that now. Despite our strong team, we were still paper thin in squad in comparison to Real Madrid, so what we should have done is keep what we had and build on it.

Allegri does what he can. Like @Osman said worst thing that could happen to us would be to let him go.

This argument about him lacking an attacking plan and how that would change anything is bullshit. Wanna see an attacking unit work? Have World class attackers. A coach picks what position and which areas should their players be what but once the game is on it all goes out the window.

A top player already knows where to be and when. Knows how to improvise and how to go about getting it in the net or finding somehow who will. You don't teach players like Messi or Neymar what to do. They already know.

Having said that... Unfortunately we have this guy who has a pathetic background when it comes to major finals or major matches in general

And we have an extremely talented player in Dybala but one that still has very little to show for on the big stage. Except for that first Barcelona match from last season and the one vs City, where he actually performed how he should, he hasn't really lived up to his star status. I still have hopes for him though.

So these are the players we rely on right now to make our attacking machine work. Not hard to see why it isn't great.

Dybala also initiated the comeback against Bayern in Turin. We were bad, yet he was clutch in that instance

I do think Dybala and Higuain have been problems in our 'flop' matches. We tend to look toothless in some tough matches, even more so when we start to trail. I'd say Dybala going missing in action has been more of an issue than Higuain. The latter still tries to drop deep and get in the mix.
