If the board intervenes it automatically makes it a big deal and therefore a real circus for the media to pounce on, i disagree i think the coach needs to stamp out these things at the very beginning of his tenure with very low tolerance afforded for them as time goes by; this has now developed into a pattern and cannot be ignored.

It has only happened in the course of like 2 weeks versus his 3 years here where nothing has happened. The board can intervene without the media knowing. And yes, the coach can still stamp out these piss poor attitudes from the players. The players attitudes are the problem IMO not the coach.

Allegri handles these situations fine. I always prefer a level-headed approach. I think if you react immediately and start benching important players and lose games, the players will turn on you.

Just take it in stride unless it is an egregious offence.

These are the times when Buffon, Chiellini, Marchisio, etc need to step up in the locker room (esp Buffon) and say enough is enough. Stop bitching and do your jobs.

This is not so little tho, coach and leading player insulting each other over subs in game we easily dominated? And it fitting the petulant pattern and lack of discipline two previous instances? Yeah it's no doom and gloom but defenitely worrisome. Especially this latest one, it's defenitely not a small thing to openly clash with your coach?

Sure, I agree. Which is why leadership needs to take the stronger hand and remind the players (all of them) that no player is above the coach.

I still trust the club to make the right decision whichever decision they choose I'm sure it will work out. We have had a solid core of humble players for a long time but I guess this is the kind of shit happens once you get a team full of superstars who think the world owes them something and forgot what its like to fight and continue fighting.

If it was relating to the new players who fit the profile of clashing egos like Higuain, Alves, Benatia, ok fine, but these are long term servants + Dybala.

Not sure what it is but maybe its something along the lines of the formation change and Allegri demanding so much from the players to make sure the system change works properly they are getting frustrated? Also, (I actually left right here to take a shit but I'm back) the consistent rotation might frustrate some (like Licht for example) but again, to your point, not sure "why" bonucci now.

I'm not sure it's formation related. Second time it's confusion or disagreements over subs, really weird. Also the petulant behavior occurred in different formations.

These behaviors need to be dealt with before they become normal. We have enough depth, so, nothing a little bench-warming can't fix.
Alves for Licht and Rugani, Benatia for Bonehead, etc. The only player who might be a little difficult to replace is Dybala, other than that we'd be fine with the replacements.

How can it be Allegri's fault Dybala acted like a clown in that game when he refused to shake the coaches hand? Discipline issues are the coaches responsibility AFTER they happen because its his job to address them accordingly. That's like saying every time Balotelli did something it was the coaches fault.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you then I apologize. Are you talking about calming the waters AFTER something happens then yes, I agree with you. His job completely.

If he really has lost the respect of the senior players in the squad, punishment from the management is not going to help the situation. It might keep the players in line in public, but it is not going to make them respect their coach.

Tempers appeared to boil over during the closing stages of a Serie A fixture against Palermo on Friday

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri was overheard on video calling Leonardo Bonucci a "dickhead" and telling him to "fuck off" during a heated row in his side’s 4-1 victory over Palermo.

Despite the Serie A leaders being in complete control of the tie, tempers boiled over in Turin between the Juve pair.

Bonucci reacted angrily to Allegri on the touchline as changes were made in the closing stages of the fixture, with the debate dragging on past the final whistle.

The Juve boss was caught on camera shouting in the direction of his Italy international defender: "Shut up, dickhead! Fuck off!"

Bonucci replied by telling his coach to “go to hell”, before disappearing down the tunnel at the end of the game without saluting the home support

Allegri, who has also seen Paulo Dybala and Stephan Lichtsteiner react petulantly to his decision-making this season, attempted to play down the incident at his post-match press conference.

what the fuck? I can understand there are disagreements but the name calling and swearing, in public, seems totally out of place at this club...did this actually even happen?
