Villa was as prolific if not more than Neymar, I remember he was scoring a stupid amount of goal despite playing of the wing, and Henry isn't/wasn't as great as Suarez, because Suarez is life. But Villa was absolutely amazing for Barcelona, Henry just came along for a ride and a free UCL trophy.

Zlatan got kicked out of Barca because he was doing what he wanted and he was about to smash records and force Messi to the wing, but Messi throw tantrum and Mama Pep got mad at Zlatan and kicked him out.

What utter nonsense. No one has argued that Pep is the best coach of all-time or that he is even the best coach out there today... Most of us who acknowledge his merits don't even want him here... but you have to be a Trump-style lunatic to think he's some mediocre coach with no pedigree.

Your memories of Villa at Barca are pretty damn shoddy. He certainly wasn't tearing up the scoring charts. 4 goals in 12 games in 10-11, Pep's 2nd CL title. Really tore it up.

He has done very well thus far in his career and personally wouldn't bet against him winning a lot more in the future. Whatever man, it's not like I follow Barca, I don't care for them. I just wanted Eto'o but Inter got him instead and he rewarded them with a treble.


Pep of course has some professional credentials and his a competent coach, however his skills are only apparent in certain fixed settings. He can't just be place in an average team and expect him to pull out some results, hell I'm even willing to bet that if he received the Liverpool job he wouldn't be doing all to much better then Klopp is right now. Pep needs to work with excellence to produce excellent results. He's no Conte, or Allegri, to be honest I prefer coaches that can create something out nothing, I rate the Ranieri's of the world. I'm serious, look at Mourinho's Chelsea, it was Ranieri that laid down the ground work, look at the Roma team he coached that failed to beat Inter was an excellent squad tinkered by the Tinkerman, even his Juventus side fresh out B was a decent squad. Pep can't do that, he can't do a third of what coaches like Ranieri can, that's why I rate Ranieri more then I will ever rate Pep.

And no ones saying he sucks, just that there are better coaches out there. What he did with Barca and Bayern was great/good, but nothing extraordinary that no one else could do. At City i can see him become a failure because he wont be able to play his football brand with EPL players and he doesent know to play any other way. Hes a good coach that was in the right place at the right time but definitely not the best in the world and not justifiable of the hype around him

You rate Ranieri who managed to make both us and Inter underperform? It's just another instance of overreacting to a single season. Ranieri won at LC and sucked at pretty much all the big teams he coached.

Ranieri > Pep is just beyond laughable.

I actually think it's very mainstream to bash him at the moment. Seen plenty of English pundits do that this year because he has been "found out" at the marvelous PL.
