This video tells it pretty well about his time in Bayern Munich. When everything clicked we played brilliant football, trashed Arsenal 5-1, Roma 1-7 away and also Atletico at home where i still dont understand how we didnt trash them. But the video also shows how bad it went in some other matches.
But okay thats how it is managing this gigantic football clubs. For them the only thing good enough is the best.
He's the one who chose to move Barca on from the Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Deco era. He signed Alves, Pique, promoted Busquets, made Messi, Xavi, Iniesta the focal point of that team... Had them play that style that made that team so incredibly dominant as to win everything there was to win.

Which just shows how one-dimensional the guy is. He's clearly unable to switch the tactics and style of his play, so he needs a team full of Messi's and Iniesta's to 'shine'. Yeah, what a great coach.
Once one gets injured and it stops clicking then it suddenly becomes a Titanic. That's not a definition of a good coach, because hey, a good coach makes the best of what is given. Pep would be unable to coach majority of teams cause it obviously wouldn't click to fit his fucking tiki taka.

He's garbage, he was riding on Barca's golden generation he's been working with even before he coached the first team, he got to work with them as kids and they were already stupid talented, everything was set in place for him to succeed at Barcelona. If anything, Enrique is as good as Pep and we all saw what Enrique looked like.
So you're saying Pep helped develop them as kids into the star players they became. Yes, great argument against him.
Actually, Barca play that style for a lot longer. Also, it was Ronaldinho, Deco, Eto's with Rijkaard who made the Barca a success team. And if anything it was Rijkaard who brought Messi to the team and Xavi & Iniesta were focal point long before Pep arrived, so that's kinda BS. It was also obvious it'd be Messi to take Dinho's place once he leaves and it was not a rocket science nor a shocking discovery. Pep just took the torch.

Spalletti and Sarri have massively lower expectations. A CL spot is all fine and dandy for their seasons to be considered a success. Sarri has no career to speak of thus far. Spalletti never managed to get Roma over the hump in Serie A yet.
Pep exceeded expectations at Barca. By far. And then met them at Bayern. 3 straight league titles, 2 of 3 For domestic cups, and 3 straight CL semifinals. A CL title requires some luck, as you should well know, being a Juve fan. He failed to deliver in 3 years, but kept Bayern in the SFs each year as one of the top contenders. While it isn't smashing success it certainly isn't underperforming ::

Spalletti and Sarri have massively lower expectations, i wonder why. Oh thats right, they haven't had nearly as good teams as Pep had his entire coaching career. Spalletti had a historically strong inter team for his 1st stint in Roma and got very close to winning the title and was finishing 2nd regularly. He did manage to win the Coppa few times though. Now he has a super strong Juve to compete against and will likely get another top3 finish. Sarri will get Napoli to CL 2 out of 2 times now, got them out of the CL group stage in 1st try too.

With Pep you need to be very careful. His curriculum is awesome... but we must take into account that he was bossing the best Barcelona team ever with the best player of our era in Messi. Players like Xavi, Iniesta, Messi etc...practically won games by themselves without much tactics since they were extremely talented and the team was made around them, full of stars.
Then he went to Bayern to command another star studded team. It was VERY difficult for him to not win something there, as there was no competition for them in Germany, and well in CL he got wrecked a couple times.
I have yet to be convinced by him. Im not buying the Pep hype becaue it is a fact that he always have been spoon fed with monstrous players and perfectly oiled teams before he arrived there....until now with City.

And then luckily hr went to coach another top tier team totally set up.
If he delivers with City, ill believe in his prowess...otherwise, he got carried by the excess of talent he had in those 2 previous teams.
