He's finding something out there. 4-2-3-1 could be the destiny, the way Mandzo and JGC did diagonals, Dybala looked for the back of the LB, the open space in the left for our FB. It could be.

Today the subs were kind of stupid though sgainst a 10 men team and I said subs cuz It was the one he made and the two he kept when our level on second half was asking for some burning time at the end

At least he is getting the formation right. 4-2-4-1/ 4-4-1-1 is the way to go with this squad.

I dont get his subs. We are clearly hurting them with our counter attacks. Then he decides to take out the player that orchestres the counters, to sit deep and play with the Higuain/Mandzu partnership. In some ways it reminded me of the Morata/ Mandzu sub in the Bayern game last year.

"not playing Pjaca in the coppa "

"giving Pjaca less than 10 minutes in a coppa game :sergio:"

 implying coppa games are a waste of time, but you'd have been the first ones to go full berserk if we would have lost tonight.
I'm one of the last people to get annoyed with Max, but only making 1 sub, and a sub that made us visibly poorer on the pitch, and then not making anymore subs to remedy that is pretty bizarre. Mandzu, Asa, and Pjanic all looked exhausted after about the 75-80 minute mark. Why not Sandro for Dybala, then allow Asa some rest and put Sandro at LB by bringing on Rincon to add some midfield steel, then a late sub of Pjaca for Mandzu?

We looked terrible in the last bit in part because we had no fresh legs on the pitch

What if he had extratime in mind and wanted to keep the subs just in case? Tho he could have put Rincon on for Khedira perhaps

Dybala was dead tired and had taken a knock, he had to come off. Bringing Alex Sandro in didn't really work though so in hindsight should have brought someone else in for Dybala.
That sub was fine, if he brings on Rincon for Asa too (Asa also looked dead tired) and Sandro moves to LB, and we have some more steel in the mid. I just don't get making only one sub, especially when we looked very poor after it was made.

We also have an away game on the weekend, don't we? Why run Mandzu and Pjanic and Khedira into the ground midweek?

Are you saying Rincon could not handle the last 15 minutes of regular time plus extra? That's only 45 minutes with Milan at 10 men. Silly

Ita frustratong because everyone assumed that Pjaca would get minutes and that the reason he barely played at ghe weekend was becauae he would play a big part tonight. Its also frustrating because our players looked exhausted and unable to attack a milan side with a man down. Pjaca posseses abilitys that sere perfect for exposing their defense. This is why it pissed a lot of people off. There is no excuse for not playing him.

I mentioned it already, he could have made that sub but he chose not to. Remember when people laughted at Zidane for not having any subs in ET in the final? Thats what you would see tonight with Rincon for Sami and Pjaca for Higuain with a late equalizer

Not to sound like a broken record but I really like winger based formations.

Right now we have two wingers, 3 if we count Mandzukic.

Getting that piece of shit Berardi is a must, but he will probably refuse us again.

Mandzukic isn't a winger, his just a tank ready to walk over a right back. But seriously, it's kind of like predictable when it comes to Mario and attacking, because he will run up the wings and then pass it back, break a few balls and repeat. He does the job, when he cuts inside and lays off a header or two for dybala or whoever to run on to but in all honesty only pjaca and cuadrado can do the unexpected so for now we should be saving their energy and allegri is doing exactly that (pjaca). (Sarcasm)

Play pjaca then. Is not thatt hard.

But doing one sub in this game was weird as fuck. Theres no 2 ways about it.
