Allegri:

“There were a lot of free kicks and cards, not that much football played,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“It’s a bad setback for us, but we still have the chance to be four points clear and nobody thought we’d win the title in January.

“Teams play the game of a lifetime against us, such as Fiorentina and Genoa, so we must always have our energy up and give everything, because the opposition do with us.

“It’s going to be a battle and we need to fight it out for every single point from here to May 28. It won’t be easy.”

“We did not move well in the first half. There was some improvement in the second. There were overall too many errors and we didn’t pass it out of defence well enough, which gave Fiorentina confidence to keep pushing us back.

“Roma and Napoli are behind us, so it’ll be a fight to the end, but we must learn from this defeat. It’s not enough to do less than 100 per cent, because the opposition gives more than 100 per cent against us.
Last night's post match interview doesnt come out half of ass kicking or negative as the one against Atalanta. If anything it sounded like we tried but not hard enough i.e 100% because of how good the opposition was. No Allegri, we were nowhere near 100%, we were at best 40%. Point is if we were anywhere as sharp or near our fitness level of lets say 70% we would have walked over them but time after time the team seems lethargic/unmotivated when opposition comes at us. Why are we not close to 100%? Thats what the media should have asked him.

I would say its

a) Team Selection.
b) Our rigorous Training
c) Night outs?
d) The descending cloud of Flu over Vinovo?

Anyone else think of other reasons?

Yeah i know but was listing 'big' games.
Fair enough but the problem isnt 'big' games.

I think Allegri sums it up

“Teams play the game of a lifetime against us, such as Fiorentina and Genoa, so we must always have our energy up and give everything, because the opposition do with us."

At the moment it may appear big games, but it took an inter to figure us out and no doubt there will be other teams who will do the same. Question is why, why do we crumble to these teams and evidently away. Well we know the answer already which is weak midfield, they close us down play at 100%. We know our weaknesses but where the hell is our strength? Why are we nowhere near 70%? Why dont we have energy and also the lack of mentality to give everything.

Heres a pattern for all our defeats this season:

Inter - We played Sevilla Midweek before playing Inter.

Milan - We played Lyon Midweek before playing Milan.
Milan - Juventus (Doha) - We didnt get a full week as we played on Friday. We lost energy abroad?
Genoa - We played Sevilla Midweek before we took on Genoa.
Fiorentina - We played Atalanta Midweek before we took on Fiorentina

I didn't like his interview post game very much, it's like he's getting more and more accustomed to losing a game every now and then, soon it will be "no big deal, you can't win them all". When we lost to Genoa or SuperCoppa to Milan he was fucking angry and you could see that losing a game is not acceptable, that playing the way we did is not acceptable. Now he's just like "they were more hungry than us, everyone plays very hard against us, we must try harder and give it everything, bla bla bla". I hope he's doing his best to let the players know that this is not acceptable and being mr nice guy only on tv

Well, i think we are not players and we can smell his complacency and stubborness.

But even then, no matter what we do....as long as we have khedira, sturarom, hernanes and asamoah in our midfield...we will go nowhere.

Sadly we are stuck with this guys and we will have to greatly switch gameplan to make this team works.

My solution would be to play a 433, limit this midfield stoogies to defend and press, and throw balls to Dybala Higuain and Pjaca hoping for a miracle. Cuz we simply cant ask for more having this disgrace of a midfield.
